Keith Hills Golf Club - Black Course

So I'm biased, but Keith Hills has always been my favorite place to play. I used to walk on as a kid growing up in The Creek, I played here for Harnett Central Middle/High, and have seen all the highs and lows of this course since the turn of the century. I'm mad they took away most of my favorite holes on the old river course, but the 27 holes that remain are a great test for any type of golfer. The course is almost always in great shape. Even though they had just aerated the greens (2-3 weeks ago) it was still fun to play. I usually play by myself out here and never run into more than one or two groups on my way to a sub 3-hour round. Sometimes when I'm playing some fancy course in LA, I really miss their club sandwich (random, I know). They have great practice facilities that I never use. All around, I don't know a better bang-for-your-buck in golf.

The course has an excellent practice facility. The course is always in good shape and the staff is courteous. It is a great value. Carts are new and are always clean

All in all great golf course. Yes Bremuda greens suck for us all now but nothing you can do about the climate down here & how difficult it is to maintain quality bent grass greens. Although, I was impressed with how tightly cut & healthy the fairways were! I would recommend this course but make sure you bring your bug spray.. The gnats are relentless.

Love this course. We've played it several times over the years and it is a good test. The greens had been punched about 2 weeks earlier, so they were a little bumpy. The rough around the greens was lush and thick. All-in-all though, the course was in great condition...especially for a 94 degree afternoon.

heard great things about this course. disappointed to find out greens were aerified. not sure why . they should really tell you these things in advance or offer discounted rates. paired me up with a 2-some that only played 9 holes. then i got shipped off to the "white" 9. never got to play the "black". seemed confusing all day ong. maybe just me.

The course, overall, was in good shape. Good layout and fun to play. Some of the greens on the black course were worn out, but nothing terrible. White course was the better of the two.

Staff was great, missed our tee time, but allowed us to get off to groups later. Good pace of play.

Great course. Every facet of the course is top notch. One of the best practice facilities I have ever seen. 2 practice greens in great shape, a chipping area and a pitching area with balls there for you. Staff is attentive and courteous, always makes you feel at home. The course itself is in phenomenal shape. Fairways are lush, rough is thick, but very playable. Greens rolled true, and we're on the faster side. The layout is phenomenal with characteristic landmarks on holes that make you remember it for its uniqueness. It is really a joy to play this course.

1st time I've played there in a few years, and we played the original 18-hole layout. It took a while to get used to the new Bermuda greens (which are showing up everywhere in NC now), but the fairways and greens were immaculate. The staff was as friendly and professional as any you'll meet.
We're all single digit handicapped and from the back (black) tees, it was challenging yet fair.
Well worth the 50-min drive from Raleigh and we paid $28 a person on a Friday at 11:20. You just can't beat the bang for the buck.
We're going to go back soon.

Great facilities with s truly wonderful staff. This is a wonderful place to play any day. Better than a lot of the Pinehurst courses.

Course was in excellent shape and greens were rolling extremely quick. Will definately be back to play again soon.

Over all good lay out and conditions. If you can play a cut or a fade. That is good for this course. Lot of dog legs right.

Front nine was slow, but the back nine was much better. Fairways need some work, but that is not unusual for this year and this region. I would go back because the course conditions have been better in the recent past (within last two years)

Course is always in good condition. Greens roll very true. Love playing here.

Greens where in great shape! Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not finish round due to rain, but received voucher for back 9.

Very well maintainet course. Greens fairways and tee boxes are in very good conditions. Come back soon.

The Black and White Course seem to be in awesome shape, they are fixing hole number 6 par five tee box so they made a temporary tee box and made the hole a par 4. Other than that, the course is in great shape, greens and fairways are good, I do enjoy playing this course, I just wish it was a little closer to my home.

The new bermuda greens are just fantastic! they are still firm - no ball marks to repair. They roll great. The fairways are still growing in. I can overlook a fairway that is not 100% as long as the greens are in great shape - and these are. Get out there and play now. Price is right.

Tournament on the orange/black course so had to play white course twice. Nice greens and some challenging holes. Early conditions but still ok to play. Good rolling greens.
