The Chimneys Golf Course

This course is always in great condition. It has a good mix of holes. Long and short par 3’s. Long par 4’s and couple of short ones that are possibly reachable off the tee. All the par 5’s are not easy to reach in two. I’ve only reached one of them in two and I’ve played here several times. The staff is friendly. Not many amenities as far as a bar or sit down eating area but what’s there is nice. I always look forward to getting back here. Definitely one to check out if you’re in the area!

The course is in good condition. For a busy Sunday afternoon the pace of play was very good with no delays.

I've played this course several times, and this is the first time I've seen the parking lot over flow, and cars needed to park in the grass near the ball fields. The pace was not bad at all, we finished our round in 4 hours and 15 minutes on a Sunday mid afternoon. The 4 of us thought we were in for at least a 5 hour round.

Hilly terrain, but hardly any blind shots. Room to miss a fairway and still find your ball. Good mix of hitting uphill and downhill into greens. All the par fours felt short, not complaining! You can hit driver on most of them, but never really NEED to. Greens have a lot of break, but not overkill at all. Just got sanded and punched but still rolled halfway decent. I will definitely be back later this spring.

This course is fun to play, perfect for middle handicap player. i am really enjoy it.

I’d rather this course stay somewhat hidden from the masses, but what a wonderful course. I’m not sure how many courses I’ve played in my lifetime, but this course ranks up there with the best of them. The little details on each and every hole make each one memorable. As a southern boy growing up in middle Georgia, I appreciated the old chimneys located around the course that brought back memories of my rural upbringing. The conditions of the course could not have been better for this time of year. The greens were in excellent shape and rolled perfectly. Pace was very good as I spent little time waiting. There are signs encouraging quick pace which I appreciate as I’ve played way to many 5 hour rounds lately.

I wish I live a little closer so that I could take advantage of becoming a member so that I could play more often. Even then, I’m still on the fence come spring time, I may go for it.

My only grip was that I wish that I had a sand canister to fill in some of my divots. They may have been available, but there wasn’t one on my cart.
