The Chimneys Golf Course

Good course for any golfer to have a great time. You can score good here without emptying your wallet. Soft greens.

Always a nice place to play. Not a long track but has a good layout with some challenging holes. Nicely manicured but the greens were fluffy this time.

We always enjoy playing this golf course however, the greens were difficult today because of the recent aeration and sanding.

Most certainly will return again soon.

We really miss Helga.

This was our first time there and it was a good experience. Fun layout, perfect for weekend players, back 9 are easier than front9 but they are kind of challenging when you come after 3 months not playing. We will definitely play here again. PD: greens were aerated and golfnow did not advise us. Fairways were in an excellent shape.

The Chimneys is one of my favorites in the north GA area. The course is in great shape, with well-maintained tee boxes/fairways, reasonable rough and smooth, fair greens. Also a nice variety of holes/doglegs/elevation changes. Sand traps too were nicely filled with actual sand (not hardpan like many other courses in the area)! The greens were a little on the slow side, but that's a minor quibble compared to the overall experience.

This course has stepped it up a notch or two in the last couple of years. They keep it in great shape. Fairways are lush and easy to hit off of. Greens are kept kind of slow through the hot months to keep them healthy. Kind of a bummer but it’s the tradeoff I guess for keeping them in great shape.

The course itself is fun to play. Some challenging holes but fair. There are some easier holes so you don’t feel like you’re beating your head against a wall all day. Its a nice mix. It plays quick. Rarely have I played a round in over 4 hours and usually I can get around in 3 and a half.

My only knocks are the slow greens in the summer and they no longer have “Helga’s Kitchen”. No hot food now.

Can’t beat the price for the beautiful course. Like my title says, the courses are manicured to perfection. Perfect greens, well cut fairways, even the bunkers were raked and a over par regardless of covid. I will say though, the guy at the front was somewhat unpleasant. He suggested we’d only play 9 holes even though it was 4:30. He firmly stated that we would not finish. I told him, “don’t worry we play fast”, with a smile. He says, doesn’t matter if you play fast? Found that kind of... impertinent... regardless we finished by 7:30. Well before the closing time of 7:45 which he stated. Other than that, I highly recommend this course!

Very nicely landscaped course from tee to green. Love the fact that the course is isolated from residential development allowing you to be one with nature. Only little knock I have about the course is that the greens, although healthy looking, had a very slow pace. I'm sure once the hot weather breaks, the greens will firm up and provide better putting conditions.

This is not the hardest nor the easiest course but I think it’s pretty fair It’s laid out well and the course is in good shape. My son and I really enjoy playing here!

This is one of our go-to courses. Always well conditioned. Greens are nice. Very scenic holes.

Greens were high and ridiculously slow. I will say they were soft though. Second cut on fairways could definitely been a bit shorter.

It took us to get there about an hour from Marietta, but it was worth.the driving.

The course is maintained so nice. The greens were a little slow, but we were advised. The fast greens make this course even better.

Great course condition for this time of the year.
