About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

a Keeper
First time playing the course. I will certainly be back. fairways were in great shape, though I found it curious there was no sand on the cart to repair divots. Tee boxes were in very good shape. I had seen the other reviews prior to booking this round, and was still pleasantly surprised. I wish the greens were a bit firmer and faster, but that is a bit picky. My playing partner and I were both of the opinion that this course presents one of the best values in the area.
Great Course... worth the drive.
Overall I had a great experience at The Chimneys course in Winder. I had a single booking and they paired me up with another single which was great.
The course was in great condition, it’s very scenic, well laid out and challenging. The staff were super friendly and the driving range to loosen up before hand was an added bonus.
All in all I would rate this course as great value for money and will definitely visit again in the near future.

Beautiful course, well kept, played after 2days of heavy rain and course drains excellent. Great round of golf!
Best yet
Course conditions were the best I've ever seen. New carts. Greens were perfect and fast...love it! Also the ladies selling food make an outstanding meatloaf sandwich! Will definitely be back soon.
Great publick cours
Good to great tees, fair ways and greens. Some hard some easy holes.
Transformed greens!
I had done a review mentioning the poor condition of the greens about a month ago. Well they’ve whipped them into shape since then and are much better. Had a great time as the whole course now is in wonderful shape.
Returning after 8 years
We use to play this course frequently when we lived in the area. After moving to North Georgia 8 years ago, we have not returned. We found a great deal online and decided to return to a great course. We were not disappointed; and my wife commented how much she liked the course. Except for a very slow threesome in front of us, the day would have been excellent. Course conditions were great, and there are some challenging holes; with one hole having a reasonable forced carry if you play from the tips or the Blues. All around a great course to play; but you need patience if the course is busy with a lot of golfers new to the game; needing those extra shots off the tee.

I love this layout. Challenging but fair. Can’t wait to play again.
Fix the greens!
The course was in great shape except for the greens. You can’t roll a putt. You bump and jump it. They are so slow you almost can’t hit it hard enough to get it to the hole. Hopefully they will get better.
Disappointed in GolfNow big time.
We didn’t get to play because there were thunderstorms and tornadoes in the area. Canceled it on the website but didn’t get a rain check or a refund. It’s ridiculous because there was no one on the planet that would play in that weather. It’s my first time using GolfNow and I am very disappointed.
Great Value
The layout of the course is very pleasing to the eye with a good variety of play from hole to hole. Which I like. I took a couple of friends with me to experience the course for the first time and they are definitely putting it in their rotation of courses.

Why give the course a bad review because the it was raining and GolfNow sucks? Not cool.
