About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Pace of play
Group of two guys ahead of us was horrendous . Pace of play was by far the worst thing I’ve ever experienced on a golf course. Loved the course but those guys made it terrible.
great fun course. Fastest golf carts in the Southeast. My son and I played 18 holes in 3 hours 10 minutes. Course was in excellent shape.
Hidden Gem
This place has never let me down. This is my favorite course away from my home course.
I put this course down to play every time friends come to town to play.

As a beginner this was a Great experience. Beautiful landscape.
Excellent condition
Nice, traditional course with challenging layout and no tricked up holes. Fairways were awesome as were greens, but the greens were very slow. Will definitely play again... hopefully not behind the foursome ahead of us today however. Hit and move, gentlemen. Hit and move. Trust me, you can’t hit it 280 to an elevated green from the woods. Hit and move.
Nice course for the money.
This course is tends to offer good deals on golf during the week. Prices are a little high on the weekends, but that’s pretty standard. Pretty well maintained. The greens putt very slow, but consistent. The issues I see are that the bunkers are not maintained at all. They are hard as a rock and never raked out. There was one bunker that the maintenance crew had driven a skid steer through and it barely broke the surface. There was a little bit of bunching up going on towards the ends of the front and back with patrons not observing pace of play and spending entirely too much time hunting for their ball. The course ranger has confronted me about having a tire off of the cart path near the green, in a hard packed clay area. In my opinion the course needs the sand traps fixed, a snack cart, and spread out the tee times a little more.
A good layout always kept up well
A good mix of tough and easy holes. Most fairways wide and receptive. No dead spots in fairways which are in really good shape. Could do a better job maintaining traps. Greens are consistent... all SLOW.

Back 9 fairways better shape than front 9.
Greens were all very good. I would say it’s a little more than average difficulty. I ply Chateau Elan a lot and this course is more difficult.
