About
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a 27-hole course that sprawls across rolling terrain. It is one of the most popular public courses in the Gainesville area. The holes are divided into three nines called the Village, the School, and the Mill. They share the same scenic landscape but they each offer a different set of challenges. Five sets of tees provide the option of playing to your skill level. The Mill is the shortest of the three nines. Strategically placed bunkers come into play on almost every hole, you'll find plenty of them on the par-4 seventh. There are back-to-back water features starting with the second hole, the golf course's only water holes. Chicopee Woods GC also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens available.

One of the best public courses in the area
Fantastic value which is why it stays busy. Can be on the slow side, but the new yardage display should help with pace of play due to not having to look up yardages and also advises if you are ahead or behind the expected pace of play.

I appreciate Chicopee Woods for keeping all three 9s so well maintained. They've added quite a few bushes in recent weeks also, which will be beautiful in the Spring when they bloom. Good job staff!

October Play
Love the efforts underway to install GPS. My cart was updated. Played this course a lot in past. First time with GPS. Even though few bugs in system, it was Great. Telling me I’m in a restricted zone while sitting on cart path. 😳😎
Newly install and finished cart paths also very nice.
Little overkill on azaleas to course. However, nice.
Pace of play still a little slow. Chicopee is known (my experience) for overbooking the course. They need to better manage pace.
Suggest installing a couple of cameras on certain holes with big blind spots (deep holes)and then a video screen at approaching landing area to know about forward golfers. RiverPines has that on two of their holes. Huge help.

Good round
Course was in great shape. Play was a little slow . A lot of vertical both down course and cross course..will play again when I am in Georgia
