Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a 27-hole course that sprawls across rolling terrain. It is one of the most popular public courses in the Gainesville area. The holes are divided into three nines called the Village, the School, and the Mill. They share the same scenic landscape but they each offer a different set of challenges. Five sets of tees provide the option of playing to your skill level. The Mill is the shortest of the three nines. Strategically placed bunkers come into play on almost every hole, you'll find plenty of them on the par-4 seventh. There are back-to-back water features starting with the second hole, the golf course's only water holes. Chicopee Woods GC also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens available.

It’s been awhile

I hadn’t been up there in perhaps 8-10 years. It was always pretty good but they’ve really outdone themselves on the whole experience. Great practice facility, good lies all over the place, friendly staff. Sandwich was expensive for what it was, but whatever. Bravo to these guys.

Best bang for your buck course around.

Got a hotdeal on this course for a good price so decided to try it out. It blew me away. Absolutely flawless greens, cart paths, and sand boxes. Fairways were almost perfect. Even the flowers and shrubbery were very well maintained on every hole. 10/10 for the price for sure.

The course was in great shape, starting to green up nicely. Greens were rolling great. The weather was calling for T-storms and strong winds, so the course was pretty much empty. But it ended up being a beautiful day and we played as a threesome and never saw anyone in front or behind us. A perfect day in the links!
