Kilmarlic Golf Club

Fairways are excellent, especially the front nine. Green are soft and receptive, which makes for a lot of ball mark repairs (not always done). The layout fit my game very well from the gold tees.

One of the best courses in OBX. Awesome layout and challenging. Many birdie-able and double-bogey-able holes. It’s a tourist course so they try to pack it to make some money. I don’t blame them for that but please don’t allow groups of 5.

Course was in good shape with the major exception of the greens. Golf slobs don’t fix their divots and the greens were peppered with unfixed divot marks. They need to put some reminders in the cart for pace of play and to fix your divots.

Pace of play was great, played as a threesome and finished in 3:15, not sure if the group ahead of us (also threesome) were good players but it seemed to be that at every par 3 as we pulled up to the tee they were pulling away from the green

Only a few times did we tee off to realize we had to wait to hit our next shot as they were leaving the green.

The greens were slower than expected but rolled extremely true

If you can find the line you will score well

Distance isn’t a huge concern as accuracy will be the target at this course

Water on 14 of 18 holes

Not a friendly course for the first time visitor. Good company and good pace of play though. I guess the conditions are the new norm as well. Average for me.

Overall this course could be great and a lot of fun. Played on a Monday morning and the pace of play was awful. Over 5 hours to play a round when it’s 95 degrees is unbearable. Two threesoms in front of us decided to play as a group of six. Greens were in nice shape but many of the tee boxes weren’t mown. Lots of dry burned out areas in the fairways. Overall not worth $100+ dollars for a round. Too bad because the layout way good and it could be a great place to play with attention to detail and a ranger.

First time playing here. Staff and coarse were great!!! Starter was a very nice and knowledgeable man!! Paired me with two other golfers and had a WONDERFUL TIME!!! Thank you so much for such a great day!!!

The course was in amazing shape, with perfect fairways and roll true greens. The layout was challenging without being frustratingly difficult, and the serene views throughout the course were second to none. The entire staff (pro shop, starter, cart guys, and bar / food) was extremely friendly and helpful. The practice facilities include grass range and an expansive chipping / putting green, so be sure to get there early to take advantage of a warm-up. This course is a must play if you are in the Outer Banks or surrounding area. I look forward to playing it again soon!

This course and my experience were amazing. The staff was really friendly. The course was very challenging and in great shape!! I will definitely go back next time I’m in the OBX.

Had great time. Greens perfect. Bermuda rough challenging to this north east golfer. Driver not the best club on a few of the holes even though there somewhat shorter holes. Risk reward. Will definitely play again.

Considering the amount of rain the area experienced the week before, very nice condition, speedy greens, ( love it), all around great day of golf
