Anderson Creek Golf Club
About
When Anderson Creek Golf Club first opened in 2001 it was immediately recognized as the "Best New Golf Course in North Carolina." The course was designed by 1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III, it was his first signature design in North Carolina. It has a traditional layout that epitomizes golf in the Carolina Sandhills. The layout features rolling emerald fairways lined with towering pines and undulating greens bordered by large roll-off areas, a tribute to the classic Donald Ross designs that are prevalent in the Sandhills. The challenging golf course has tricky doglegs and there are a variety of elevation changes throughout. Water comes into play on a few holes at Anderson Creek Golf Club, most memorably though on the par-3 fourth, which demands a carry over a large lake. Strategically placed bunkers also lurk along the greensides.

Worth the Trip From Raleigh
Course was in good shape, challenging, and worth the hour trip from Raleigh. It was nice to not have to sell one of my children to get a Sunday morning tee time as well. Will be back and hopefully I will play better!
Course great. Pace of play very slow.
Had a tournament in front of us on busy Saturday. Not sure why they weren’t scheduled for after 2pm. We hand 1230 tee time. Took 4 hours and 45 minutes to finish. Suggest not scheduling tournament on weekend with outside play mixed in.
Excellent course
This is a beautiful course the only complaint is the maintenance guy came in the fairway to mow an under brush. It was very loud and disruptive while I was in my backswing. I tried to catch him to advise him of the disrespect but he completely ignored me. We came up on the next tee box and their he was with his motor turned off giving respect to guys on the tee box. I wonder why he disrespected us? Otherwise it was a great day and will be back!
Great course, hardly anyone playing too, which was strange..
A great course, not very easy, but in excellent condition with fairly new greens that rolled true and fast. Played on a Monday and the turnout was very light. 3.5 hour round and playing in no rush.
Fun and Challenging Course
Greens and fairways are still in great shape. Green are really fast. A few holes in the front 9 were wet but nothing significant. It is always fun to play this course.
Course is challenging and fun for the reasonable price
Only thing keeping this from getting rated any higher is the condition of the course. We haven’t gotten much rain but the greens and the area around the greens are rock hard. If you hit the green there’s a better chance of it flying off the back then actually staying put. Other than that the pace was great and the layout has so much potential.
Great layout and value!
Anderson Creek is a great course, especially for the green fees charged.
Challenging, Beautiful course
Great Course. Would love to play again when it isn't quite so hot.
Nice…but slow
As usual course was in good shape and staff was friendly. Got behind a twosome that were painfully slow and wouldn’t let anyone play through. Cart path only was a bummer but it was pretty wet so that is understandable.
Great Course
I only got to play the front nine due to an injury. The shop staff offered a nine hole rain check even though I had a GN prepaid Hot Deal. Huge bonus points there.
The conditions here were better than what I could get at courses in Raleigh, and $20 cheaper on a Sunday morning. I was in the first group off and we finished the front in 90 minutes (even with my injury). A variety of approach shots, forced carries on par 3s, and risk-reward par 5s make this a very fun course.
I live an hour away, but I'll certainly be back
Brink drinks !
I played this course a week ago and enjoyed it so much I came back. I usually only comment on the course but realize the people you come in contact there can also make or break your experience. So we had to wait till 12:10 to tee off because maintenance was top dressing the greens. No big deal , right ?!?! Pro shop and starter adamant about that but failed to mention there was no water on the course to drink on this 90 plus degree day and the restaurant/ snack bar was closed due to renovation. As a twosome we zipped around the front 9 rather quickly until we got to 10 and noticed a threesome on 11 ????? Well the starter threw them out on the back 9 and we ended up waiting on them for quite a few holes. Anyway greens still rolled great with the fresh maintenance and except for some obvious repairs going on in the fairways the course is a great course to play on ! I mentioned the no water on course n pro shop kindly gave me a complimentary water ! Definitely play here but bring drinks ….
Great track!
A little maintenance. But not bad!...airation just about grown in...ejoyed playing!
