About
When Anderson Creek Golf Club first opened in 2001 it was immediately recognized as the "Best New Golf Course in North Carolina." The course was designed by 1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III, it was his first signature design in North Carolina. It has a traditional layout that epitomizes golf in the Carolina Sandhills. The layout features rolling emerald fairways lined with towering pines and undulating greens bordered by large roll-off areas, a tribute to the classic Donald Ross designs that are prevalent in the Sandhills. The challenging golf course has tricky doglegs and there are a variety of elevation changes throughout. Water comes into play on a few holes at Anderson Creek Golf Club, most memorably though on the par-3 fourth, which demands a carry over a large lake. Strategically placed bunkers also lurk along the greensides.

Nice layout
Very enjoyable - course is certainly playable - several greens are scary interesting and the trouble is clearly viewable - absolutely enjoyable round.

Good layout, nice views
Good course with a nice layout and good scenery. Most fairways were in very good condition, a couple had some issues with large bare areas. Greens were in good condition. Worst part of the course was the tee boxes. Definitely worth the price and I'll play again.

Rained out after 7 holes
Course was playing good and in good condition until the sky’s opened up and dropped 2 to 3” of rain in an hours time. Would like to get a rain check but club house was closed.

Course didn’t live up to its surroundings
Fairways lacked consistent turf coverage. Greens were below average compared to other courses in the area. Layout was great with a good mix of holes, but par3 tees were not located to provide yardage mix.

Course with promise
Course layout is very good. Fairways need work as well as the greens. Pace of play was slow but the pro shop let me play the front 9 twice. Although the greens and fairways need attention this course has possibilities to be a five star course. A course ranger would help in addition to a few tee box changes. Enough said!

Great layout and staff. Conditions are okay
For the money, the conditions are pretty good. I really like this layout. I've played AC 8-9 times. The staff is always friendly. The grill has decent beers on tap and good food. Carts are nice--electric with GPS. The tee boxes and portions of the fairways are getting sketchy. A few tee boxes had no grass at all. The greens are pretty fast bermuda, but too bumpy. You cannot get a smooth roll on them, so putting is random luck. Most bunkers had amply sand, a few had almost none or a bunch of rocks (17!!). We played in 4 hours--we were a twosome--even though we waited on most shots because the course was full. I've never played a slow round here despite the course difficulty. I hope the course conditions don't get worse as the summer heat builds.

Consistent
Played here a few times now, and it's always in good shape with good drainage. Great experience with the best range in the Fort Bragg area.

Good value
This was a good course for the money. The fairways were in good shape for the most part. The tee boxes and greens are in need of some maintenance, but overall, it was a good experience. Great staff!

Fun and fair
This course offers a fun, yet fair and challenging opportunity to test your skills. It's not so hard as to scare a beginner, but not so easy as to leave experienced golfers bored. The course itself is showing wear and needs some attention to be as beautiful as it could be.
