Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

Love/Hate
Have played this course several times and really enjoy the layout. However, this course always seems to kick my back side and this round was no exception.
First time player at Crescent Oaks
Our Foursome group had a terrific round at Crescent Oaks on 5/21/2022, and none of us had played the course before. Wonderful challenge, overall length was great! Had some humid/hot weather to contend with, but would do it all over again.
Great staff as well, everyone very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend to all, if you haven't played this course, give it a go.. You will not be sorry..
Crescent Oaks
One of the nicest courses we have played this spring. Good med- speed greens couple of fairways were a little thin near the greens and a couple of T boxes were also a little thin. Great layout. We will be back heare again . Pace was great we let a single go ahead of us then clear sailing.
Accurate Tee Shots Necessary
This course now owns a few more of my golf balls! Accuracy off the tee is extremely important. The course was in great condition, which was a bit surprising given many of the other local courses we have been playing recently. This course is a good challenge, and will challenge your accuracy up and down the fairway.
Not up to Par!!!!!!!!!
Decided to play Crescent Oaks Country Club, try somewhere new, after reading the reviews, I thought I may have a new go to course. I was feeling optimistic driving through the neighborhood and into the clubhouse parking area, I was surprised by the poor practice facility, not very well grassed, Hodge podge of range balls. I thought, ok maybe the course was in better shape.
The course was not in better shape, the layout is terrific, with a little tlc and money, it could be a gem.
If you don't mind hitting of inconsistent fairways, poorly cared for bunkers, (there are a lot of them, and inconsistent greens, them this course is for you.
I will not recommend this track at all.
Great greens
Best kept greens in the Clearwater area. The pace of play was perfect.
Truly a beautiful course to play!
From the friendliness of staff to the small, fast greens to the course layout- this course is truly a pleasure to play.
We’ve been here twice now, and enjoy it more with each play!
A must if you’re in the area and are playing a few courses
This has always been a firm fave. We’re over from the uk and have played the course quite a few times over the last 5 years. Greens are very fast at the moment. Some sparse areas but generally in good shape. We’ll be back !
First time ar Crescent
We all know Pinellas County is a golf wasteland. Many awful daily fee and semi private courses. Crescent is an exception.
Very good and fast greens, fairly open off the tee, not the typical narrow shoot with water everywhere. Bunkers and tees in good shape.
Round was 4.5 hours, which I consider pretty good for this type of golf in March in Florida.
Two turkey sandwiches and two gatorades for $15 from cart lady seems pretty fair.
I live by Clearwater beach so bit of a haul, but again very worth it. Going back this coming Saturday.
