Escena Golf Club

Course in great shape. Needed lots of water to soak towels that to cool down and drink. Los of fun, will return when it cools down.

We played Escena on Saturday, and immediately re-booked for Monday. Course is in really good shape, save for a few dry spots on the fairways, but it is late August and 110 degrees. Greens were a bit faster than when we played 2 days before. I'll echo my playing partners in saying, we'll be back !!

Great course, good round, a few dry spots on the fairways. Greens were a slow. Unfortunately we were behind 2 groups from a bachelor party, that did not appear to care who was behind them and did not care anything about golf etiquette, some were not wearing shoes or shirts, driving their carts through the tee boxes. We mentioned this at the end of our round and were told that they were spoken to out on the course but were not reprimanded or removed. Being behind theses clowns made for an almost 5 hour round, very disappointing in that respect. I can understand it is a slow time of year but a marshall should at least make a couple of trips with multiple groups out on the course. Other than that we loved it.!!!

This is a good course. Good layout, fair condition (lots of dry spots) amazing new clubhouse. The only downside really us the construction noise from many nearby houses being built. This is a new development so it isto be expected. If you won't be annoyed by nailguns, hammers and saws in your backswing, play here by all means. I'll probably give it another shot in a year or so.

We've played Escena for years and it never gets old. Really nice layout, breathtaking views of the picturesque surroundings, and for this time of year, the course was in good condition. The grill at Escena is one of the best around. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Golfshop staff at Escena always friendly and accommodating.

Escena is a tremendous Jack Nicklaus Design layout. Greens are in good shape for being the middle of August in the Desert. Great value during the Summer. Only small complaint is that they did not have any cups at any of the water stations - seemed very odd. Of course, during this time in the Desert, one needs a cup of water at least every other hole.

Pace of play was excellent.

Good value, front 9 greens were a little ruff, back 9 greens were fair, fairways were excellent, staff very accommodating and professional

I've played many Palm Springs area courses but this was my first at Escena. The price, of only $29, pics and reviews caught my attention. The clubhouse was very nice and so was the staff. The starter gave us great local course advise. The course was in great shape and we had a great round of golf. The only (minor) thing I can note was that we didn't see a beverage cart until we started the back nine. But we totally enjoy our round and will be back.

Escena GC is a great Nicklaus design, with gorgeous views of the San Jacinto mountains, blue skies & palm trees. I've always been a fan of the bunkers on any Nicklaus course & the bunkering here will not disappoint. Wide fairways, very little rough, spectacular bunkering, mature palm trees, a few water hazards & gorgeous views, nicely stocked pro shop & varied menu available at the clubhouse. Escena is a busy course & unfortunately they cannot force the casual golfers to play off the appropriate tee boxes for their skill level so you can expect your round to be in excess of 4 1/2 hours at times.

Nice course, greens were hollow tined, very slow and very very bumpy. No information was given on that fact.

Restaurant was good.

The pace was so slow it took just short of 5 hours to play only 16 holes in 100+ degrees

We were behind 3 young lads who were playing loud music, drinking, shouting, throwing clubs, continually on the phone and purposely playing slow and refusing to let us through. Escena had no Marshall and the drinks lady just shrugged her shoulders. After 16 we went to the pro shop which was closed but after knocking on the door loudly an official came out. Told him about our ordeal to which he just said sorry and then immediately locked the door. Shouted to him we would put this on Golfnow and Trip and a shrug of his shoulders was his reply. The buggy lad was laughing all the time at this and said there were probably out to have a bit of fun!!!!!! We have played the Valley courses and Escena many times and this is the first we have been treated disgustingly. Just to add salt to the wound the people behind us were also getting frustrated and on a few holes drove off balls before we had played our second shot with one very close to hitting us. Because of this we had to have an altercation with those behind trying to explain it is not our fault for the delay. We accept the heat but playing 5 hours in 100+ is not fun especially when we have 3 idiots refusing to step aside.

Escena have respect for decent golfers and be prepared to do something about this issue not slam the door in our face and shrug your shoulders.

Excellent course. Great place to play, layout is nice, and the conditions are great in the middle of the summer. Staff is great, they do an excellent job of accommodating players and give great advice. Will definitely be coming back!

Staff was awesome, course was very pleasant. A course you have to play!!!

Overall course was excellent; pace of play a little slow. I booked as a single, paired up with some really nice golfers. As a high 20's handicap, nice to have others who might be better who don't mind playing with you. i played the middle tees, jusr over 6100 yards. Played a little long, but was enjoyable. I would play again.

First time playing, excellent layout! Wide open and great views...would play again.

Despite the severe summer heat heat in the desert, I had a very enjoyable experience playing this course. Plus, the staff was very friendly.

Course gets better with age. Course was in excellent condition for late June and the geeens were the best we played all week.
