Escena Golf Club

A nice course in very good condition. Unfortunately, they do not have enough carts so for midday tee times there is a 45 minute wait for a cart. There were 20 or so people carrying their clubs around over to the driving nets (there is no driving range) and putting green. An extra handful of carts would solve this problem. Pace of play was slow and I didn't see a Marshall anywhere. Too bad because it it a good track.

What a wonderful course, especially for the average golfer who may not always drive straight.

As a first time here I can say this course is really nice to play and more challenging that it looks not the fairway but the green as usual with a JNicklaus design some deep bunkers always at the right place to let you know that if you want to play the par you have to be good !!

The course is gorgeous! The greens were interesting in that they looked like they had decent break, but didn't. The forward tees made our game fun, we will play from the greens next to get more challenge with distance. (Forward was a little short for us...kept using same club aprroaching on 2nd shot). Par 3's are nice and long!

We got a really good deal this day because of the predicted bad weather. We arrived early hoping to beat the storm. On arrival, the young but friendly course marshall loaded our clubs and said we could get right on because there were a lot of openings. When I went inside to check in, I was told by golf shop manager that we could not go off early because we had a Hot Deal. No matter no one else was Teeing off for hours, no matter that there was an obvious storm coming. We had to wait two hours before we could tee off. Of course, we ended up playing in the pouring rain. He made us feel very unwelcome. I guess he didn't want us to come back again...And we won't!

Played this course on a cool, damp day.

Unfortunately due to the weather it appeared that the course reduced their levels of service, which was disappointing because the rates were still the same as on a sunny day.

We were sent out with no extra towels despite the wet conditions.

There was no starter to give course guidance ( the carts do not have GPS). No indication of flag positions.

There was no food and beverage available on the course and no quick option in the clubhouse.

The course conditions were good but not great. The course drained very well after the early morning rain. Bunker sand is full of small stones. The greens are true and roll well.

I was excited to return to Escena but the overall experience on this day did not meet my expectations.

it's a fun course with enough fairway traps to keep you honest and plenty around the green...the fairways were a little rough but the greens were clean...it' was worth it.

Great course. Played many in the valley. For the money you won't be disappointed.

Great off course amenities! Friendly staff and god customer service. Course conditions are better than average. Interesting driving sight lines, but the course is a bit repetitive. All in all, an enjoyable day!

Golf in the desert in January can be expensive. Escena is the one of the best values out there. The course is as nice as some that charge $ 200 to play.

The only negative is that is does not have a true driving range. Distance from Ladies tees is a little far.

Very enjoyable round! Great views and fair for scoring course.

The fairways were barely there, with huge patches of dirtsod taking the place of the grass. I had heard a lot about the design of the course, and it was good, but the condition was unbearable.

I absolutely recommend this course! The course is beautiful and very well-maintained. I played the forward tees because the distance was still pretty long for me. But the positioning of the forward tees were great: it didn't just shorten the distance but it still allowed for challenges for beginners like me, without compromising pace of play for those behind me. The greens were in great shape, as were the fairways.

Loved the staff! I wish I had a chance to enjoy the 19th hole, as I heard about it from colleagues who golfed a lot. Unfortunately, they closed early that day because they had a special event in the evening. Thankfully I arrived at the course early and was able to enjoy a drink before my round. The bartender knows how to make drinks! Also, super friendly. Golf shop staff were also friendly-- offered me a discount on a brand-name item that never goes on sale anywhere! They have quite a good selection on items as well.

I am definitely going back!

Need better marshalling as round took nearly 5 hours!!!!!
