Beautiful course, large greens, quite long, very worth the money. Would come back to escena

Really liked the course .Only disappointment was lack of a marshal to speedup play. we had a late tee time and could not finish because of slow play ahead

We enjoyed the friendly staff and a perfect golf course. The layout is very elegant and has enough room even for not perfect shots.

First time playing at Escena, a very interesting and challenging golf course. Beautifully laid out, and loads of fun. 18 holes of strategy and surprises, which I can not wait to try again. Lots of wildlife to see sharing the picturesque landscape.

We played on opening day. It was cart path golf. The greens were a bit slow but in good condition. The overall course layout was great. Staff was courteous and the off course facilities were also good.

Every hole opens up to you while standing on the tee. No hidden holes or hazards. Great course for the golfers who like to use their driver. We played at the end of summer and there were a few bare spots in the rough but fairways and greens were good. Only drawback was no driving range. They did have driving nets off artificial turf. Restaurant was very good.

Took over 5 hours to play 18 holes, never saw a Marshall to help with pace of play

Pace of play was unacceptable. The couple we were paired with quit after 5 holes (1 hour, 45 minutes). We made it through 13 holes (4 hours). They just put too many people on the course. And it is a very user friendly course with fair greens and wide fairways. Plus there are 3 par 3s on the front so it should play quicker than average. No fun waiting on every shot when it is over 100 degrees. Recommended with reservations. Second strike as same pace of play issue occurred in May, but course is so fun I will likely give it one more chance.

I played 4 times over the holiday weekend, every time as a single and was always paired with interesting people.

This is a great 'resort' course and a very typical Jack design. Big wide fairways, raised green complexes and very fair golf.

The longest round was 3.30 so pace of play was excellent. Course was in great condition considering the end of a very hot summer. Greens were perfect, running at 9 and not a bobble in sight.

Great value for the Valley and highly recommended.

Cart guys at entry were bored and not helpful, BOTH AT THE START & EVEN WORSE LATER AT FINISHING!

Starter was awesome, friendly and helpful, Pro shop guy was as well, Cart Girl was great too! The course was overall in good shape, with exception of a lot of bare / dead spots in fairways! Greens were mostly great, tees were good! Bunkers and water were all there and pretty! We started at 10:30am on Sunday. At 3:30pm 5 hours later we finished! I had heard about the great bar / restaurant, it was closed! I lost a head cover, CART guys said sorry no lost and found or it was in the locked up CLOSED pro-shop...? This put a bad taste in my mouth about returning here...! Spoiling an otherwise nice golf day!!

This course is one of the best layouts in the "valley'. The course is fair for the average golfer and except for a couple of bare spots it is in excellent shape!!! Great value for the money. The restaurant must be experienced. The staff there is friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

great course, played from the tips, par threes very challenging.

The course is nice and in good shape. But if you go to play golf be prepared for a long long time on the course. We were on it for 5 1/2 hrs. There was a tournament going on. We did not know it till we asked why play was so slow. We were at the end of the tournament.

The course is in very good condition and would be a good course to play if only they monitored the pace of play. No ranger was there.

The group in front of our foursome was a threesome and measured each shot took them 20 minutes to play each hole.

I will play this again but will ask if they have a tournament.

It is a real pleasure to play Escena. The course is challenging enough with out being intimidating. They keep the course in great shape. Summer is hard on every desert course so the few dry spots are expected. The club house and the restaurant are something to see. Mid-century modern and beautifully maintained. The restaurant competes with the top Palm Springs restaurants. Excellent!

Played on a golf now hot tee time for $10.00. Unbelievable value. Course conditions were excellent for this time of year. Staff was friendly, greens were perfect, pace of play was awesome. We basically had the course to ourselves.

A well designed course with long holes, i.e. par 3s, in good condition: greens consistent.

I have played this course many times before, and knew what to expect. Escena has lots of challenges and is a really fun course. What made this day special was two things - the greens are in unbelievable shape considering it was 115 degrees when we played, and the people working at the course could not have been more friendly and helpful. What a great day - thanks guys. And the bar/restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

My wife and I had a great time golfing at this course. We started at 11am on a Sunday and had no one in front of us! We finished in 3.5 hours! It was a hot one though (roughly 110 degrees +). We recommend this course but if its a hot day like ours was bring plenty to drink (e.g. Gatorade, water, Arnold Palmers, etc....maybe one Bloody Mary). We also bought some towels to wet at every water station and wrap around our necks, which made a huge difference. Plus we parked under every tree/shady spot we could find.

Nice course and loved the greens! Some bare patches due to high winter traffic and standard fall overseeding practices, just like most every public course in the desert, but for the most part it was in great shape. Tees, fairways and greens were like carpets! Fun to play!
