A Really good course to play in PS area!
Would recommend to any golfer

Nice course layout and difficulty. Greens are nice and challenging. It would be better if they were maintained a bit shorter so that the ball would roll more.

great course for 12-18 'capper...fairways wide enough that the odd errant! drive is not "gone" but challenging enough that if you hit a good shot you are rewarded...greens quick but not "stupid"(really nice to play)

My wife and I had scheduled to play on December 14 but were allowed to reschedule because of the high winds rolling through the Cochella Valley. We played on December 18 under calm conditions and warm sunshine. The course was in outstanding condition from tee to green. The fairways were wide for tee shots and the bunkers not too penalizing around the greens. The greens rolled true and were easy to read. There are a good variety of tees to match handicap levels which makes the course fair and enjoyable for the high and low handicap player (9.5 for me and 30 for my wife). Last but not least, the staff at Escena were extremely friendly and accommodating. We would play again and consider Escena a must play in Palm Springs.

This course is beautiful, challenging and in great shape. What it lacks is a practice range. It seems like there is space somewhere, but you have to hit into nets and there are only a few stalls to do so. The day I played it was very windy so was not crowded and I could play by myself. Caught up to a foursome who did not let me play through so I ended up skipping a hole. No cart service that day either, which could have been due to the lack of players and the conditions.

Enjoyed the sun shine and the lush green fairways. The putting greens are impeccable. Watch out for the three putts and lots of sand.

We enjoyed our round with friends and will go back

Unfortunately, the poor pace of play (5 hrs.) detracted from our ability of enjoying a beautiful golf course. Apparently, no Marshall was provided for the afternoon play, only for the morning play.

Course has great layout, greens are the equalizer! Course seemed overplayed with tee box and fairway divisors "oh plenty"

Played on a Saturday tee off at 1:00pm and pace was slow quit after 9 holes but probably could have played another three before dark

This is a very difficult course for the average woman, especially when it is cart path only. It needs a senior tee and a forward tee for women that is not 5500 yards. It is very beautiful so that is a positive. 167 yards for a par 3 makes it almost impossible for the average women to make par. The women's bathroom was locked which also makes me wonder about whether they want to encourage women golfers. But I enjoyed the beauty of this course

One of the prettiest courses we've ever played and interesting holes. However, they have just opened after overseedng and it was cart path only. Lots of long walks across big fairways and back to cart, some up and down hills. Older foursome in front of us had a hard time and really slowed down play. They indicated they would not have played if they realized the difficulty. I would check to see if they have gone to 90 degree before booking tee time unless your in good shape and want lots of walking. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the course and the facilities were great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play here again.

This course is Amazing. We played on an almost perfect day with mostly cloud cover that made the whole round feel like we were in the magic hour and all the colors on the course pop. The heat was bearable and the beautiful mountain backdrop was visible even with the clouds (see photo).
This course played great for all of us, the fairways were wide for those of us who don't always stick the driver right down the middle. Then there were some tricky elevation changes, bunker placements, and long Par 3s for those that wanted a bit of a challenge. The Pace of play was great, we were never waiting or rushed. I should know because I was the weakest player in our group that day.
Bring your Fairways woods and hybrids because this course is long. It reminds me of Torrey Pines with it's wide fairways, overall length and serene atmosphere. Obviously I wouldn't place the bunkers and greens nearly at the difficulty level of Torrey's legendary greens/bunkers, which is probably a good thing for most of us. Overall this course is beautiful, difficult, and fair. Everything I could ask for. I had a fantastic experience and I'll definitely be back.

We played 6 days before the over seeding course closure so the conditions were dry (As we expected). However, it is still a very enjoyable course to play and one we try to play every time we are in Palm Springs. We like the layout and the width of the fairways is not intimidating

The course was in very bad condition. I have played here several times and it has never ever been like this.

Staff was efficient and friendly. For overseeding in the next few weeks the course greens were good but the fairways were very pretty rough

Course management was not good. They allowed a 5 some then a 2 some and then another 2 some to go out, The pace suffered terribly. We played 9, stopped for breakfast (because of the 5 some in front) and then went back out. We caught up with them 3 holes later. Called to ask the marshal to come out but was told he was gone for the day (11:30 ?). Has always been a nice place to pay and maybe it was because it is still summer in the desert that staff is too small.

Very nice open course with lots of sand and water to challenge you. Great time

Some of the fairway grass was burned out but the greens were really nice. I've played this course before in this is an excellent deal.
