El Cariso Golf Course

I would recommend this course for everyone! When I played today, the guy at the counter gave me an attitude reg using mask.

I had already checked inn online and stood in the door because I wanted to confirm so I could get a cart. He said....get a mask...get a mask! I always use a mask in all indoor places and are really careful, but he acted way too dramatic!! He came out and gave me the cart key when I reached for my mask, but then he said it was ok.

They are usually nice, but he might have been in a bad mood. I will come back though ;-)

I love playing at this course and usually have great time :-)

El Cariso GC is The worst run L.A. County golf course, The course needs a new operator/lessor who knows how to run the golf course. You should not have to return a cart twice in the same day because the batteries aren’t holding a charge, I played there previous another time and the battery died on me. It wouldn’t be presumtioud to say that the course needs new golf carts, not just new batteries. The course restaurant doesn’t attract customers because the menu is so limited and the food is only average tasting. The sand bunkers are dirt and rocks. Local tournaments allow the player to remove the ball out of the sand bunker and take a free drop! Really!?! The Pro Shop is an empty shop that just merely check in the paying customers. The Pro Shop has no golf balls, tees, golf clubs, shoes nor head wear for sale. If it wasn’t for the great staff and marshalls, I would give this course a one rating. It’s the worst run course I have ever encountered!

Fun little course. More for working on your mid range irons and short game. Conditions were good, fairways are decent shape as well as the greens.

I love playing at this course which if fairly fast, with all par 3 and par 4's. in good condition. The couple of last times I have been running out of juice on my carts when 1/2 away or less. Hopefully they will correct this! It's otherwise nice staff and I will definitely come back as soon as I'm able to ;-)

First time playing this course. The layout is a bit odd and the fact that holes are not marked doesn't help. Map on the score card is not 100% accurate and causes some confusion. Some holes are should be rate higher... 236 yards par 3 from the blue. (Just my opinion). But overall a nice course. It's in better than average condition. Would play here again.

Tee Boxes need to be Mowed Down to allow you a Good Tee Shot . Bunkers can be better irrigated (Lotsa rain week before) as well as Softer for better control of your Sand Shot.. Sand was Hard.. Greens were Fast

This has been a great transition executive course for me after restarting golf in my later years. Perfect when I don't feel like playing a full regulation 18-hole course. Challenging with water and barancas. The scenery is beautiful, up against the mountain lots of trees and often clear blue skies. I've always been paired with very nice people. Negatives - Holes are not clearly marked, so if not familiar with course you can drive to the wrong hole. There are no yardage markers in the fairway! One of 2 bathrooms is always unavailable.. out of order or not enough staff. You cannot drive carts to parking lot to load/unload clubs. Looks and feels like they need to do a GoFundMed to get the place up to snuff. Besides all that, I always enjoy playing there.

I've played this course for many years. Even though it is an executive course, it's always fun. Usually plays fast, and they keep it in good condition. Especially the greens. Nice people, good bar, for after your round.

As we went the next day after some heavy rains, no carts were available to use. No biggy, but make sure to check with the course in similar situations. The layout of the course is really good. Green conditions are what you would expect on a city course. Tee boxes were terrible. Uncut and weedy. As a mid handicaper, I took a beginner out and it was perfect for them. The course that day was not crowded, but groups of beginners will slow play

Made the call. Made the reservation for 3 people. Made the 25 minute drive. Got there for a 11:20 tee time. They are closed........ How do I get my $$$ back for that wonderful experience? Geez......

My girlfriend and I really enjoy playing here. The course is not too long and challenging, but gives you allot of various shots throughout the course,

We had an issue with the cart 2 times this day, which was enjoying. We came to hole 7 and had to return for a new cart with batteries charged. Around hole 12, it started to blink again, but we were able to get through :-)
