GlenLakes Country Club

Course was in excellent shape tee to green, amazing considering the recent numerous frosts & a couple of freezes. There wasn't 1 single green that was less than perfect & they ran fast, rolled true. I've played many outstanding courses in the region & even the best have had 1 or 2 tee boxes that were a little chewed up but that wasn't the case at Glenlakes. Every tee boxes was in excellent shape, if I had to nitpick I'd say there was 1 tee boxes that was just oddly placed--on a downhill/side hill slope but even with that there was still a flat area to hit from. The fairways were also in excellent condition & again, if I had to nitpick it would be that the traps that, while soft, were very heavy which I learned after my first venture into the sand not to try to blast it out.

The only negative on an otherwise enjoyable round was the group in front of us. While we did finish in 4 hours, we waited on every single shot on every hole. It was almost comical watching what this group would do like parking the cart on 1 side of the fairways while both players in that cart walked to the other side to hit, then go back to the cart to grab another club & walk back to the ball again! There were no cart restrictions. Still, 4 hours isn’t bad but I'd guess our 3-some would have played in barely more than 3 hours otherwise.

All in all it was still a very enjoyable round as there are very few courses around where I feel one gets their money's worth lately. I can now add Glenlakes to my regular rotation of favorite courses to play.

LOVE THIS GOLF COURSE!! Challenging with fast greens in great shape. They really keep pace of play moving even for the members. Tell them to pick up the pace if falling behind.

In Florida for a month and discovered this course the first week here. Loved it so much I decided to play here once a week.

Course in great shape right now with the greens slick. Ran into some members playing slow so pace of play was still 4 hours and we waited on every tee on the back 9.

Will definitely be back when a tee time is available.

As always it was a great time on the course. The pace of play is unbelievable never a back up and totally enjoyable place to play.

I play here as often as I can. I played on December 16 and also on December 18. I live 15 minutes from Fox Hollow and Glen Lakes is like an hour drive. It’s so worth the drive,for the night and day difference between conditions.

I absolutely love playing Glen Lakes!!! Course is always in great condition and practice practice greens/ range is great!! Staff is always friendly and accommodating to non members. Just wish I could play more often lol! I only get to use the hot deal they offer on Sundays 😪😪 soooooo until next week, I'll see you soon lol!!

I play this course as often as I can. It is about a 55 minute drive from my home near Tarpon Springs. The layout is really good and the staff is friendly. This course is always in premium condition. The greens right now are a little faster than usual. They’re rolling at least a 10 and so smooth and true. As I regularly drive an hour for the conditions on the course. It’s well worth it because I always know what I’m going to get.. I highly recommend giving it a try. Even if it’s $80 it’s better than some courses that are charging over 100.. I would say 9 out of 10 times. It’s in better condition than those courses too..

Second time here now and condition wise for the money, it’s the best option in hernando county. No wonder it was a bit busier this time around.

Starting with 1st hole, the course is a veritable challenge at every stage. Greens roll true and fairly firm. Being in the fairway is only half the battle, with elevated greens and tucked pin locations.

Overall, it was a fun and challenging layout.

Great conditions. Wide fairways. Definitely a keeper.

This course used to be in great shape and one of better courses around. Grass seemed dead in some spots and ground hard in alot of spots. Its not horrible but dont try to take a good divot. Greens were very hard but rolled descent. Just hope they get it back to what it was. They did recently seed the fairways but this wasnt posted to let people know before purchasing. They didnt want anyone driving carts on the fairways. Hot deal rate is worth it but I wouldnt pay over 50$ to golf this course right now.

Love playing here!!! Course it's always pure for the money and staff is amazing!!! Can't beat the hot deals!! Best course around the area!!!
