Osprey/Heron at Okeeheelee Golf Course
About
With a name meaning 'quiet waters' in the Seminole language, Okeeheelee Golf Course is situated amidst lush, rolling hills that overlook the sparkling waters of Clear Lake. There are 27 championship holes that are divided into three nines and can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Osprey, Heron, and Eagle nines are named after the various wildlife that can be seen throughout. Each golf course offers a different set of challenges and scenery. Okeeheelee's Osprey/Heron Course features a variety of elevation changes. There are scenic views from the elevated greens but don't become too distracted since there are many elements to contend with including towering trees, strategically placed bunkers, and deep rough lining the fairways. There are also plenty of water hazards coming into play.

Great course.
Beautiful course. Lots of water, but very playable. Looking forward to play again.
Only negative was pace of play very slow.
Always well maintained, and tee-time right on schedule, with NO back-up
The only detriment was the weather, HOT and STICKY. Course is always a pleasure to play on.
Great/Fun Course
Always great to play on any of the courses. Up keep is at its highest
A little wet but fun.
It's been raining for over a week in south Florida so one of the course were closed due to water. The other 2 were mostly dry except for a few holes. The greens were very slow and perferated which made it very hard to put. Overall was fun but wish it would of been in better condition
An enjoyable course
Pleasant course set in well kept public park area, 3 nine hole courses make it interesting every time.
Beautiful nature preserve setting with wildlife.. very nice
Moderately challenging course, well kept, great facilities all around for a public course, have not found better in the West Palm Beach area.
Booking was easy and a real value to book ahead online.
Richard
Course in good condition, but had to replace the carts four times. They told us they just replaced there batteries with cheap ones. Call them first.

This course has great featureslf
Great to play with wildlife around. Quiet golf - no traffic backstage noise - Larges fairways - no houses
Course challenging - not in very good condition.
Nice employees, beautiful terrain yet the fairways and greens were not in very good condition. Would probably not select again.
A real challenge from the gold tees for the average golfer
Greens were fast which is not what I remember from last time here which makes for much more challenging conditions very enjoyable course to play a lot of hackers day I played which leads to slow play which to me is an overall south Florida problem otherwise real solid course
Busy,busy,busy
You never know how long its going to take when you go there
You won't always get the courses you picked on Golfnow , the starter decides . I booked the Heron but didn't play it
FAST GREENS
SOME TRAMPLED AREAS IN FARIWAY DUE TO HEAVY SEASONAL PLAY OTHERWISE A GOOD DAY OF GOLF!
BEAUTIFUL
NICE COURSE. LOTS OF FUN. LOTS OF WILDLIFE. REALLY ENJOYABLE COURSE. GOOD PEOPLE. NICE GREENS
A triple bogey
I played here 4 years ago and its was a windy , rainy day so my experience was not that great, so I thought I would give it another try. It was a beautiful sunny day , not much wind but not much has changed. The fairways are basically in terrible condition, no grass , muddy etc. Some were ok but most not. For all the land that they have who ever designed this course made almost every green 20- 25 yards in depth if that , only one or two are normal size and most fairways are so narrow and water everywhere. The other PB county course Park Ridge is in great shape and a much better course. Okeeheelee hurts to play , if you do not put your shot within a 10 yard area you are in trouble. Much better courses to play in South Fla.
Beautiful public course and nice layout but too long to play 18 holes. Waited on most shots
Beautiful layout at a great price but pace of play too long for mid-handicappers. Water on most holes but not in play for average golfer.
Good layout and condtion, needs to be managed
Of the 11 holes I played I enjoyed the layout and condition of the course. Nice pro shop and the practice area was well maintained as well.
When we went to the 1st Tee we had three groups ahead of us. No marshals to speed up the play. We started on the Eagle course and during the 45 minutes we waited to tee off no one used the Osprey tee box next to us. When we made the turn 3 hours later we only made it 2 more holes before our four hour round concluded.
Good Value
It is difficult to review courses because your sliding scale doesn't work and doesn't give enough choices. The course was a good value not a great value but I only had choices of average or great. And play took 4.5 hours, it would only let me select 4 1/4 or 4 3/4.
Very enjoyable. We would play it again.
This is a nice course for a public course. Well maintained with interesting holes. There seems to be more variety of terrain than other course we have played in Florida. We would definately play it again.
great course for all levels of play
Great course everyone should play if they stay in the West Palm area....
very interesting course, very nice greens.
the organisation is very good and the greens are large and challenging.
