About
With a name meaning 'quiet waters' in the Seminole language, Okeeheelee Golf Course is situated amidst lush, rolling hills that overlook the sparkling waters of Clear Lake. There are 27 championship holes that are divided into three nines and can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Osprey, Heron, and Eagle nines are named after the various wildlife that can be seen throughout. Each golf course offers a different set of challenges and scenery. Okeeheelee's Osprey/Heron Course features a variety of elevation changes. There are scenic views from the elevated greens but don't become too distracted since there are many elements to contend with including towering trees, strategically placed bunkers, and deep rough lining the fairways. There are also plenty of water hazards coming into play.

Great value. Layout great, but would benefit to be upgraded a bit.
A suggestion for the starter: more flexibility.
As a party of three, we were following a slow foursome. We had to wait almost every hole. We asked to change course (the third 9 holes had nobody on the first departure). We had to insist. Finally the starter agreed.
Over booked
Unfortunalety again too many players at same starting time
Also beginner player in Holiday period
So we decide next year to skip vacation In Fl
this course is in great shape
Staff very courteous, knowledgeable and proficient. As always my group had a wonderful experience with no delays
The course has some very challenging features
Prefer Osprey and Eagle to Heron. Enjoyed playing this as a woman!

Great Course in Natural setting
Best Public course in area with exceptional value. The three 9 holes course are all beautiful with well kept and quick greens.

nicely maintained public course; staff ery friendly
nicely maintained public course in lovely wildlife rich area, but watch out that the racoons don;t steal your lunch or your snacks!
Total enjoyment
Totally enjoyed the course. Okeeheelee is beautiful and in excellent shape. Challenging as well.
The holes were fun to play.
This is a reasonably priced course with a great pace of play featuring 27well designed and fun to play holes.
Nice lay out.
Moderate difficulty with well maintained fairways. Rough is not in good condition though.
Time of play waas exceding 5 hours which was very long.......no marshalls active on the course.........we saw a couple but they don't talk to slow players. A foursome following us has passed us while we were waiting.....no intervention from the marshalls!!!!
If the same thing happens next time, we will n ot ^play there anymore.
fun out with some friends
A beautiful day out very fast front nine then a slow back 9. There were a bunch off people on the back 9 they had all the Twilight golfers going off later so we were slowed up the whole way. All in all it was hey good day of golf

Great day of golf for our foursome. Rate of play was perfect.
OK course.
Has a nice layout. Not a neighborhood course winding through condos, which is nice. Numerous greens and tee boxes could use some work however.
Challenging course ( all 3 nines) all have9 two or three great finishing holes.
Always in good, condition greens are in good condition, not as fast as I like but very good. 3 nine hole courses to rotate through and a very good experience.

This is a good test for the average golfer with enough hazards to keep their undivided attention.
