Great early round
I played this course as the sun came (around 7:30 am) up midweek. While the fairways were wet with dew, the mist steaming off the course lakes and ponds was very pretty and allowed for some great early morning pictures.
The starter's suggestions for navigating the back nine were very helpful and the course is very playable if you manage your game well and don't try to be a hero.
Windermere golf club
Enjoyed the day. A nice course with excellent staff. Will play again. Great value for the money.
Changes made a big differrent
Because of weather condition, it wouldn't be fair to give a qualified review. CAN SAY I'LL PLAY IT AGAIN
beautiful course
Although it was drizzling for most of my round I really thought the course was well kept and a great place for my first round on this trip to Florida. Hardly anyone else on the course. I finished in just over 3 hours and I passed only three other people during my round. Great deal through Golf Now!!
Great course in the city
Got a good deal so played it early in the morning. It was cold and windy.
Course in great shape, nice layout, extremely challenging (but not upto the level of the top courses). Calls for all the shots.
Well worth playing.
Home course
Live close by so I play this course most often..greens are true, fairways are decent, lay out is pretty much what u see, not too many hazards. Weekend pace is lil slower than weekday day but still around 4hrs. Every time I've played there I have met really friendly players, I usually go out as a single(from va). Have nothing bad to say about the course. Best course for the $ hands down and I've played a bunch of other course..(celebrations, grande pines, shingle creek, metro west, gator island...).and work at Bay Hill.
Fun Course
This can be a very fun course to play, its not too challening. I was fortunate to shoot sub 70's which is why I am very fond of the course. There are a couple of holes that offer unique challenges, but overall is very well designed. It's definitely a golf course you could come back and play every month.
Good deal for price
Found a great deal online. I had never played the course and was impressed. The course was in good condition. The grass was a little brown but it had been pretty cold leading up to us playing. Saw a bunch of alligators which is always fun.
Old Course, Fun Time
I really enjoy playing Windermere CC. It is not the nicest course in Orlando, or the most well groomed, but it's fun. There are a good mix of holes where you can make some low scores, and other holes that are truly a challenge. I also like its location. It is in the same city as high end courses like Isleworth and Keene's Point. Unlike those courses the public can actually get on Windermere CC. The driving range is decent. The practice putting green is large and right next to the first tee. I don't remember seeing a place to work on your short game though. There is one goofy hole on the back nine where you have a blind tee shot. It's the second of the two par 5s. I wish they would redesign that hole. Other than that one hole the course is fun and worth playing!
Good Golf Course for the money
During my time in Orlando I have played this course a few times. I enjoyed it very much. The course was not too difficult but still challenging. The condition of the course was ok - onsidering the deal I got. I will play here again.
ok course
played this course while visiting friends in the area, we booked foursome for 7.20 am , i think than fairways some attention needed , greens were good
Nice course
nice course although i found the staff to be quite unfriendly
A favorite each year...
very good course in one of our favorite areas in Orlando metro. Course was in very good shape...see you next year!
Friendly
Nice place. Nice people. Course is well kept. Pace of play was excellent. Greens were in good shape and the course was a good challenge (10 handicap).
Great course
I really enjoyed playing this course. It is a fair challenge and the course is very well maintained. Pace of play was really good. I highly recommend others try this one out if you haven't already!
Poor experience - surprising
I made a fee time for 1:23 on December 28. There was no starter, no marshals and cart girl stopped at the 2nd green and said I would see her again. Never saw her. Quit on hole 15 because there were 4 groups either backed up or playing the hole. When I rode in there was a 4some backed up on 17 with a 3some on the green. The 18th hole was wide open with a 2some on the green. Then again I did not see a Marshall all day. I will not play there again.
Beautiful and challenging. Windermere is a treat.
Windermere is a beautiful and challenging course. Second shot holes, a couple o tight driving holes, and great greens. This course is always a treat. I have played it twice now and have not been disappointed yet. The clubhouse staff is great and the food is good. If you get a chance to play Windermere, take it!
Country club quality, excellent value!
Special thanks to Golfnow and Windermere for an exceptional offer for this quality facility.
As with a typical mature country club you need to keep your shots straight but not necessarily long. Greens and fairways very nice - rough is what it should be, rough.
Look for this course on any trip to the area - well worth it!
Great course
Course conditions were excellent - greens very consistent and in great shape. Met at car with golf cart and had clubs cleaned after round. Slow day and pace was quick. Highly recommend playing this course as it was best overall of the 4 local courses we played.
Similar to Lake Wales CC, Daytona Beach GC, & Golf Hammock CC.
12:30 Tee time. Great Deal Caddy price. Old School Florida tree lined course. Houses on left perimeter 1st couple of holes only. Very pristine course. Not a weed visible. Tee boxes & fairways plush. Greens are what make this course spectacular: large, elevated, & very fast. Nothing spectacular about the course but had fun. Bathrooms on course were well maintained. Battery powered Club Car carts in great shape, had windshield & rain cover in back. Nice Pro Shop.
