About
Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

Old Guy Smoking after 10 Practice Swings
Staff is extra friendly. Course is well kept. Short course and 5 par 3’s on the back nine. I just can’t believe they paired me and my friend who were in a cart with 1 random walker and 1 random old guy (85+ years old). Walker kept up but old guy put us way behind pace of play with around 10 practice swings just to duff most shots. Duff into water also included an extra 5 minutes to try to retrieve the ball with his tool. He would pick up every ball when it was clearly his ball and stare at it for a minute to ensure it was his. Then hewould do practice swings with a smoke in his mouth and then throw it on the ground…annoying he did this on fairways…but even more annoying he did it on tee boxes. Should not have had to play in these conditions. Ranger should have separated us and should have sped up the old guy to at least play at the posted generous pace of play. I would hit a drive and have to wait 10 minutes to hit my next shot.

Would Rather Pay More
Course I have played dozens of times, great value, possibly too good. Pace of play was painful, Starter lady on the microphone is nice, but clueless. Standing on the first tee with 2 groups still on the first hole in front of you with a group already behind you sucks, you know its gonna be a long day. Would gladly pay more to be able to get a round in under 5 hours. I understand its tough to keep these courses going, might be time to up the price and ease up on cramming groups out there. Side note: Get rid of the red range balls, they are like rocks.

3 hour front 9
Schedule a tournament and still allow people to book t times. Don't play there on the weekend. People think this is a country club. Go in for lunch and come out 30 minutes latter and 10th thee has 12 people waiting to tee off. This happens because it's cheap and every hacker in Orlando is out there. Pay an extra 30 bucks and play somewhere else on the weekend.

Very rude front desk Lady
Been there twice and twice was treated very rudely by front desk …. First was told they don’t book singles when clearly they do… don’t expect to get treated like a paying customer

Worst ever
The course is bad and the staff is the worst part especially the front seat lady. Not much of a lady for sure.
