About
Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

Very nice
I play here for the first time and it’s very nice. There’s a lot of par 3’s on back nine, so that kinda sucks

Slow
The weather was beautiful and the course was packed. We waited probably 3-4 minutes at each tee box
The course is in really nice condition. Greens are fast.

I don't like this course
I play here about once a year because I just don't like it...could be me but you try it and see for yourself...It is always crowded and the play is painfully slow. All the holes are straight, no dog legs, very little water to carry and mostly just right to the green without much difficulty or challenge. There 5 par threes on the back..some 200 yards or more. Go play it and see if you ever want to come back.

Good but slow
The pace of play was terrible. There was even a ranger but it didn’t help. Took us almost 3 hours to golf the front nine. Course was in decent shape but not great considering time of year. Really liked the layout and would golf again but not on a weekend.

Winter Pines
Not a very good course. They take in any keel of players so pace of play was extremely slow. The course not in a very good condition. I would not recommend this course to anybody that has played golf for a while and expects an middle of the road course.

A long wet day
Pace of play was very slow and course had seen a lot of rain and was extremely wet. Still had a good time. The people were great.

Rained out
No rain check provided if Golf pass is used per the course front desk. Only got eight holes in.

Great little golf course. Play from the back tees. Some interesting holes and a number of 200+ yd par 3’s Greens were firm and sneaky fast. I enjoyed my round, my playing partners and the very nice staff.

Old Guy Smoking after 10 Practice Swings
Staff is extra friendly. Course is well kept. Short course and 5 par 3’s on the back nine. I just can’t believe they paired me and my friend who were in a cart with 1 random walker and 1 random old guy (85+ years old). Walker kept up but old guy put us way behind pace of play with around 10 practice swings just to duff most shots. Duff into water also included an extra 5 minutes to try to retrieve the ball with his tool. He would pick up every ball when it was clearly his ball and stare at it for a minute to ensure it was his. Then hewould do practice swings with a smoke in his mouth and then throw it on the ground…annoying he did this on fairways…but even more annoying he did it on tee boxes. Should not have had to play in these conditions. Ranger should have separated us and should have sped up the old guy to at least play at the posted generous pace of play. I would hit a drive and have to wait 10 minutes to hit my next shot.

Would Rather Pay More
Course I have played dozens of times, great value, possibly too good. Pace of play was painful, Starter lady on the microphone is nice, but clueless. Standing on the first tee with 2 groups still on the first hole in front of you with a group already behind you sucks, you know its gonna be a long day. Would gladly pay more to be able to get a round in under 5 hours. I understand its tough to keep these courses going, might be time to up the price and ease up on cramming groups out there. Side note: Get rid of the red range balls, they are like rocks.
