About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Very Slow
4 hour round on executive course is too long. Had to be way overbooked. One hole was backed up with 3 groups. Every whole you could see was backed up.
Great for Intermediate Player
I had such a great time today! Thank you staff and playing partners. I’m a new golfer. Had never played here. Had never used a golf cart but practiced hard and took lessons to prevent bad habits. Everyone I met and spoke to were great, hospitable and patient. Thank you to the three “J’s” that I was paired up with. Scott, I pray your recovery goes well. It can be intimidating when you’re new & go to an executive course for the first time. Course is hard but manageable. Lots of water. Best to hit short than long. Best to hit left more than right (more water) Good pace, players practicing proper etiquette. Very good value. My fees included cart. It’s a bargain!

Very nice course. Long enough for our level. Friendly staff, close to home.
Under repair
Due to recent heavy rains, the course was severely restricted. We had to play the same 9 holes twice, consisting of 3 par-4s and 6 par-3s, and several of the par-3s were temporary fairway-holes. Had I known the condition, I would not have played the course. But alas, none was supplied.
Nice layout and conditions for the price. Only thing is be prepared to wait for a cart as they allow large groups to tee off together. There's a mix of some long par 4s and 3s, good for beginner- intermediate play.
Staff rocks
Course isn’t the best but I don’t expect legendary courses in MSP nor pat 62s, I’ll say the staff is really cool though, Todd in the front at night is just a chill guy and the snack bar staff is 10/10 kind. They try and time your meal after you finish one side of the course, A1!
