David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Golfer Reviews
Too crowded, over booked
I’ve played at this course several times and have enjoyed playing there. Today was crazy crowded, only able to play the back 9, paid for 18, only able to play 9. Not a good day
Nice short course
This is a nice short game course, I’ve been playing this course over the years, nice prices and good layout
The course is in good shape
Course is in good shape fairways greens and even the rough is well taken care of. If I wanted to complain about something I’d complain that they were watering and cutting while we were playing. Other than that it was a good day.
Don’t waste your time and money
Way overpriced for the terrible course conditions. We had a tee time reserved and when we checked in they just said go ahead whenever you’d re ready. We started at our time and 3 older women walking started right on front of us. They each hitting short shorts. Not a problem, we skipped the second hole and went to the third after finishing the first hole since we were a twosome and riding. When we head to the 6th hole, 3 older ladies on carts had jumped in front of us somehow. Zero etiquette whatsoever. Then we go to start the back 9 and another group decided to play the back. The greens are trashed like other reviews have said. Not worth $46 a round for a short course in bad shape. Definitely won’t be back.
Solid
Fun 18. Some fairways were spotty, some tee boxes had a wait, greens were a tad slow, but it was still a fun 18. Just short of 4 hours to finish the round. Solid value for the money.
FUN EXECUTIVE COURSE
Good course for someone who is learning the ropes.
