Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Good course if you are in the Lodi area.
This was my first time at Micke Grove. It has been a while since I paid so little for a round of golf. For the money, it was a very good deal. The course is not particularly tricky, but it pays to be accurate off the tee. I don't know if the greens were inconsistent or perhaps more grainy than I read. They seemed to break differently from player to player, even though we were basically on the same line. If you are in the Lodi, Stockton or Galt area and want a fairly easy course, it is worth playing. Not sure I would make the drive from the Bay Area to Lodi again just to play this course unless I was entertaining clients.
Great Course for the price
Great tract. Will test your game but fun to play. Greens always in great shape. Excellent value. We play here 4-6 times/month. Ball washers frequently are dry. Pace of play usually pretty good. However, they let a 5-man skins group go out (Wed) that play extremely slow and literally back up the whole side. Been behind them 3 times - painful. It'd be nice to have a few water coolers on course during hot days.
Good conditions
We teed off on time and played 18 holes in under
4 hours. The greens were in excellent condition with just a little over watering on a few fairways. I recommend this course and will continue to play here in the future.
Great conditions for the price
Bought on Golfnow hotdeal...Saturday 18 holes with cart... $20. Greens fantastic. Course green, and a good test. Lots of water. Fun test.
Can't beat the price.
But it thru Golfnow, tho...to save $$$

Always like coming here. Staff is friendly and the course is nice. I have played here a few times in the hot and cold. Always a good time.
Not on Saturday
I always enjoy playing the course -- but not this time. I seldom play on Saturday but this time we did because it was the only time my guest could play. Play was very slow (lots of players who seldom play). We dropped out after 9 holes.
Muni
Nice day golfing, but not challenging. Be aware of balls coming from other fairways toward yours.
Slow play
The course let people out on the back nine and when we made the turn we were stuck. On the 14th hole there were 3 groups on the tee box.
FUN COURSE
course in nice shape-greens good-a little slow but fair--challenging water holes-bunkers OK--played in 4 hrs
Buen campo para jugar
En general muy bueno y a precios accesibles con muy buenos grens
Great value course in good shape
Good course plays alittle tough if your not used to close to links style. Greens were exceptional rolled well taken care of. Love this course because it takes a couple holes of getting up and down to get into the swing of things. Greatest value around by far if you get a deal online don't be surprised to pay as low as 10 bucks with cart! Crazy good deals at any where from 12 to 20 with cart online rates! The only two complaints I have are pace of play and lack of water coolers at all, stock up on water on a hot day.
Good course, slow pace
I rated this course 3 stars, but I would probably give it 3.5 stars if there was the option. The course had quite a few positives, but also a few negatives. First off the positives, the conditions were very good in light of the drought going on. The fairways were green, and the greens themselves were well manicured and rolling fast. The layout was relatively flat, which is good for walking, but there is some variety in the length of the holes, and with doglegs and water on a few holes. The staff was good overall, and they even gave us a free drink with the round. Now the negatives. The pace of play was terribly slow. Part of this was due to too many tee times, but a large part of this was also poor golfers playing off the wrong tees. The other problem is that this course is like a shooting gallery. The holes are too close together, particularly the tee boxes and greens. There are many parallel fairways, and with the scattershot golfers out there we had several instances of balls landing near us. I don't know that I've ever heard so many calls of "Fore" in one round in my life. Aside from those problems, I really enjoyed playing the course. I'll just have to remember to wear a hard hat the next time I'm out there.
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME
I played this course regularly the first 3 years it was open, then moved away. This was my first time back since then.
The nines have been reversed, but other than the trees being 20+ years taller the course hasn't changed.
It's in fairly good condition for a Central Valley course in the midst of a 4 year drought. The greens were in especially good condition.
Love the course
Management needs to make foursomes and not send out so many players per hour causes back up. A marshal is needed to either speed up slow players or make them let groups waiting play through.
Crowded!
The course itself is nice. Challenging, but not enough to beat you up. Having someone along that knew the course was a plus as there are several hazards that are hidden and definitely come into play. Greens are nice and quick, the way I prefer. My big objection was obvious overbooking. I quit after 3 1/2 hours and finishing only 9 holes. I've heard this is a common problem there. The on-line booking times are only 6 minutes apart. You do the math!
Course Knowledge Helps
2nd time playing the course, played much better.
Water comes into play on many holes, and hitting
away from trouble helps your scoring. Need to play
smart and course management is a must to score

Course is tougher than it looks. Plenty of sand and water. Our foursome will be back for a rematch.
Great course for the price well maintained.
Course is well design for a weekend warrior who wants enjoy the game of golf. Well maintained and the price is very affordable. Variety of challenges for intermediate players like me. Love the course!
First time for everything.
It was my first time at the course. The staff was great, the range was awesome and the conditions of the course were difficult if you got off the fairway. Very nice greens. Make sure to bring your beach towel there are plenty of sand traps. I used golfnow and played 18 holes with a cart for $18.00 dollars. I suggest that you give the course a try.
