Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Course is in Good Shape
With the drought I thought the course was going to be hard and dry, but it was is good shape and the bunkers were soft and workable.
Great course
Had a great day on a beautiful course. Great staff always helpful .
Good value for public course
Course was in decent shape. Slow play but that's expected for a Sunday and green fees at $14 to ride. Would def go play again with friends to work on te game not much of a challenging course.
Good deal!
Course in good shape. A few Brown spots in the fairway but still soft and very playable from those spots. Greens in excellent condition. Some challenging holes but still scoreable! Had a great time! I'll be back!
Greens are in great shape
Considering the current drought the course is in pretty good shape. The tee boxes are above average, sand traps well cared for, and the greens are in excellent condition. I played the tips which definitely adds considerable distance and challenge, specifically on the par 5's. Pace of play was excellent as I played 18 in a little over 3 hours. Not bad for a Monday afternoon!
Refreshing
It's so nice to go to a course and everything just flows so nice. And I am talking about the staff and the excellence in service they provide. It didn't matter where I was on the course I felt like they cared about how my golf day was going. And in turn that made a fun day of playing golf.
I will come back even though it's about 45 minutes from my front door.
Totally afforable!
Great public course, nice scenery, & totally affordable. Have played here many times & will continue to play in the future!
VERY NICE GOLD COURSE FOR THE PRICE
I REALLY ENJOYED PLAYING THERE. I HAD NOT PLAYED THERE IN A NUMBER OF YEARS AND IT WAS IN BETTER SHAPE THAN BEFORE. THE GREENS WERE GREAT. THE SPEED WAS GOOD AND THE BREAKS WERE MUCH AS YOU SAW THEM. THE CLUBHOUSE PERSONAL WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I WOULD RECCOMMEND THE COURSE TO FRIENDS.
Love to be out on this Course
I enjoy Micke Grove and consider it a great value in golf. We are very happy to have this facility available for our use. The practice area is in good condition and the course is great!
To jamed up
It took over one hour to play 3 holes. A foursome in front of me was terrible (I know that is not the course's fault in one sense) and the foursome behind me would hit at me while I waiting for them to clear the green so I could hit my approach shot. It was so bad even an employee running a weed eater warned me about the group behind hitting into me. I quit on the 4th hole and went home. I don't care for speed golf either and generally don't mind a little slower pace but this was ridiculous. I felt maybe the course over booked. I will say the course is in good condition, what I saw of it.
beautiful course but slow
Micke is a nice course. But its slow. Used to play here daily but micke is known for a slow round. Dont expect to be done in 4 hr 20 mins. There is no way. Expect 5 hr + rounds, Have to wait a every hole. Weekends forget it 6hr+ round. If you want to play a beautiful course with low rates with 5hr + ( 6hr + on weekends) round then micke is the course to play.
this is one of my favorite local courses
Course in decent shape, greens slower than normal with some flaws that really impeded putting. Teed off almost a half hour late and did not get to finish 18th hole because of slowness on course. A foursome was entered in between the threesome in front of us and our threesome when we made the turn at 10. This slowed our group down considerably. We were at a good pace on front nine finishing right at two hours.
micke grove
Very nice public course . really windy the day i played so made course more challenging
Slow Play
I have golfed here a number of times, but this day the play was way to slow. We left after 13 holes and about the 4 hr mark. I normally have my best rounds at this course, and really enjoy the course. I visit Nor Cal twice a year and golf 3 days straight at this course, but not this trip. My time is valuable and I can't see spending that much time on a course. It's not enjoyable at that pace..
Usually good but not this time
Micke Grove is usually a decent course to play if you want some quality without having to pay a fortune. The only problem about this trip was they were in the process of punching the greens so they had a temperary green on each hole about 30 yards closer. They didnt mention this on Golfnow and were still charging 30-40 dollars a round. The temperary greens were un puttable fairway. They should just close for two days and reopen with bumpy, sandy, (but puttable) greens.
Good Fun
One of the better experiences at Micke Grove. greens were good. had a fivesome in front of us that slowed play. They got into a little scuffle with a group playing along side. Did not have to take the guy's ball! Play with my son and a couple of singles who were really nice.. Son EAGLED 16 with a nine iron approach! 30 foot putt.
Pace of play
The course needs to be marshaled and pace of play needs to be checked on... Also there should be a limit to how many people can golf together is a round! Age and ability should be a factor to make it fun and fair for everyone
Nice place to play
Nice place to play greens well manicured and somewhat challenging course
