Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Pleasant Surprise
My golf group took advantage of a great price from Golf Now and headed to Micke Grove. It was my first time on what turned out to be a delightful track. It's a short course but, if you're thinking you can overpower it, do so at your peril. I teed of with my 3 wood or a hybrid much more than I did the driver. Shot placement is a premium of the tee. Trouble lurks off the fairway. There is lots of water, very strategically placed bunkers and narrow fairways. Did I mention lots of water? Several holes have it down both sides and several you are carrying water to the green or fairway. The course was in great shape. The greens were pretty quick and yielded very few straight putts. The fairways were tight and the rough was a real factor if you wandered from the short grass. The staff from the starters to the snackbar folks were very friendly and accommodating. I was pleasantly pleasantly surprised by the course. I will play there again soon.
Exceeded expectations
We werre pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Target Golf
Micke Grove is a very pretty course with loads of water and trees. Despite the drought, fairways and greens are in good shape. There are plenty of places to sink golf balls in the water! I hope to play here again soon.
Fivesomes!
Course still in very good shape. Great value if you're not behind a "good ole boys" fivesome or two. Starter and marshall much needed.
Good value
We've been playing this course for years and it seems to be in worse shape than usual. Irrigation appears to very uneven, soaked in some places, too dried out in others. Greens and fairways were pretty good, but sand traps are not groomed and even in the afternoon they were still wet from the previous nights misapplied watering. I spent too much time in the traps and only one played like a sand trap, the others were more like hitting off hard pan.
Price is right, though.
i like the layout.
The course is in good shape and challenging layout.
Excellent price! This is my favorite course in San Joaquin County. When friends visit, this is the course i recommend. And we have a great time. Plenty of wineries nearby as well. Good variety of restaurants in downtown Lodi. Yummmm....
Great course
Great course and friendly staff. Would recommend to friends
Slow.
The only negative thing I have to say is the pace of play. But it's almost uncontrollable. It's the nicest course in the area for its price. Usually a typical miday is 21-24 while others are in the 30s . So iim sure that's a reason play can be slow. It's popular. The best deal. Sometimes it could be as bad has 4-6 groups stacked up on one tee box.
Good course
Course is in excellent condition. Greens were fast
Nice course
Pretty good and challenging greens, long par 5s and a lot of shorter par 4s, only knock was pace of play which was horrible
Slow pace of pplay
This course has way too many people playing at the same time, so The pace of play is very slow.
This course has good value If you do not mind waiting 5 minutes per hole.
Great Lay out, fair but challenging
Course in great shape for the middle of summer, and the green's are excellent , roll perfect.
nice links style course.
Good value for the money. No waiting. Well kept fairways and greens.
Fun!
Nice Golf Course--Well groomed and well kept. Very enjoyable place to play!
Slow play-good greens
The course is in good condition with greens rolling well but the slow play was a killer. Need to police the course a bit more and make sure groups are movin on.
Course issues
I have played here quite a few times now. The course allows some provincial things that I have complained about to no avail. The course allows 5-somes, The course tolerates local members to jump around at will. The course allows players to go off the back side giving no preference to players who are making the turn.
Great golf experience
Micke Grove is a great course with wide fairways and a few challenges thrown in. Its always easy to get a tee time and play.
Very good conditions
Over all links style course, I see they changed a few tee boxes which are straight. Meaning no more lumps while teeing off. Course is improving an would definitely play again
This course has good potential to make it more enjoyable if there was a player assistant on the course. There were some unethical players who should n
Enjoyed play , excepted for those unruly players on the field, intimidating my wife and me. I would not play again here with my wife.
