Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

good but slow
good course, conditions where perfect the greens even played a little softer than normal got a little to backed up though almost to the point it was no longer any fun
greens OK - pace slow - fairways pretty rough
the course is in rough shape overall. The limited rainfall has had an impact. They run a lot of specials so the price is good, but the pace is slow. The greens are in decent shape.
Ordinary
We wear happy.
And good course.
But lack sincerity the foods.
We play again next month.
the course plays well for all levels
very pleasant experience weather made it more challenging will definetely do it again only complaint was pricing and availabilty 2 sodas and a muffin $8.62 that is ridiculous other than that all was good
Bang for the buck
I play here regularly. It is a decent course but nothing to get excited about in the way of terrain / features. There is enough challenge to keep your attention though. It has to be one of the very best values for the dollar out there. With that comes the associated hackers who take forever and have no common courtesy. Expect the odd fool to drive a cart out into the middle of your fairway while you are in the middle of your backswing on the tee. Expect to get a group of 6 with 5 carts in front of you. Expect to fix a number of divots on every green because some peoples children had zero guidance on the subject ever. Still worth it.
Great course
First time playing this course, great time. Course conditions were great considering time of year. Open fairways, not too many large trees, but enough water and sand to think about. Great place to play a quick 9 before work. Will definitely be going back, definitely get more than you pay for.
SLOW
Pace of play is really,, really slow. I was behind 3 groups of 5 players in each group.. This should not be allow. No Marshall what so ever,, but why in the world did the club house let them out like this. NEVER again. Took over 5 1/2 hrs to play,, had to wait on every shot,, hard to get in a groove and play your game when you wait like this. Like I said,,, I'll never go back.
need to have a marshall
Course was overbooked. Tee time we had and when we actually tied off was an hour later. People in pro shop were very nice about it . We only where able to finish 12 holes in 4hours. I don't know if this is normal for this place or not , but it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Will Not Return
Overbooked and poorly managed overflow of golfers. Though the offer through GolfNow was excellent, it would appear that Micke Grove staff allowed those with reservations and walk-ons to play, congesting the front 8 to extremely long waits.
Diamond in the rough
I admit this place is far from perfect. The greens were in good shape and rolling fast. This place was well kept except there was a fair amont of trash at certain spots on the course. They need more trash cans. Definitely a good value!
Good course
Good course for all level of players. Usually in good shape even in winter and summer. Can be slow at times when busy. Good deal price wise and condition wise.
Good layout
Staff and group we played with were wonderful. Convenient to drive from Sacto.
Nice Reasonable course
Micke Mickey is a nice reasonable course with challenging features for the average golfer..few water holes to challenge your abilities.
Best Kept Local Secret
I play here regulary. The staff is always friendly, courteous and eager to please. The course is in pretty food shape most of the time and is undergoing many upgrades and renovations at this time that will improve the quality of the course. Compared to previous management. this team is trying to get it right and its a pleasure to play here. When busy, pace of play can be somewhat slow and the course could use some marshalls ti keep up the pace of play
mr
Played 3 rounds in the last 3 months. Each time there was a delayed of 50 minutes not due to frost but due to too many tees being booked at the same time. check golf now to confirm my claim. up to 3 tee times would be set up at the same time. by the time i played around 11 am, it is about 50 minutes delayed. first two rounds i thought it was coincidence. it happened to me 3 times in a row. will never play there again. each round is over 5 hours. it's ridiculous to play there. play if you have time and be able to wait for every shot.
Awesome course for the money
Had an excellent experience. Was pleasantly surprised by the facility , parking , pro shop, and range. All much better than I was expecting. Course was in good shape considering (winter), fairways mowed nicely, greens were very very good and even the bunkers showed attention (enough sand ,nicely raked). Overall I was very impressed by the shape of the course at the price point. Highly recommend.
Course always in Very Good Condition!
Haven't played at Mickie for about a year. But I was not disappointed as it is always in very good shape. The fairways were dormant, from recent cold snap, greens were rolling excellent. Played with a great couple. They have reversed the "nines" and I enjoyed the switch. MAKES MORE SENSE!
good golf day
Good day for golf that day. Pace of play was great. Course was in good condition.
