Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Was verey slow play as two tournaments were finishing up.
Always like playing the course. Today was bad since the group ahead of us teamed up with another twosome ahead and from then on it was hit and wait so we quit after 14 holes/.
POOR EXPERIENCE!!
I received zero response after submitting this to the GM....
very sad....
I am writing you today after experiencing the worst golf outing in all my years! THE WORST!!!! Please note that I have been a great fan of Micke Grove for some time now. Frequently, traveling the 35 minutes from home with friends and family to take in what is generally a fun round for all. However, after today, I can't say I will be visiting again any time soon.
In short, we started the day arriving at 12:45 for our 1:15 tee time. Check-in was fine, but in retrospect should have been forewarned of the on-going tournament and expected delays. As we proceed to the first tee, we already glimpse the trouble ahead. Two groups waiting and three (yes, three!) groups parsed out across the number 1 fairway. This did not let up for the entire round, which lasted 6.5 hours! Thank god we didn't have dinner plans. During this time we were witness to three verbal altercations between groups of players, that further delayed and diminished the experience. Then, as if things couldn't be more juvenile out there, we constantly saw people driving on the tee boxes and the greens! AND, to my amazement, not a marshal in sight for nearly 7 hours - I can't even begin to imagine what the reasons was for that...especially, with a tournament going on.
I am trying desperately not to disparage the staff, or lack there of. Or, come down hard on the weekend warriors that enjoy a friendly round. But, I am chewing my face off at the level of insanity at your facility today. It was simply an over-run fraternity, full of people unable to manage themselves for lack of proper judgment and respect for others.
Unfortunately, this is now why it ends up on your lap. PLEASE, for the sake of the game, properly manage the on-goings on [your] the course. A little accountability will have a great impact and I sincerely hope you take the time to review and revise the current procedures so no one has to go through this ever again.
Extremely Disappointed,
Fun and "Female" friendly course!
Always a fun course to play and a great value. Very ice pro shop as well.
Good challenging course for intermediate golfer.
Nice course with lots of water. Not too busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Met some friendly people on the course. Very close to home and convenient.
Good course.
Overall good, but to soon after aieation. New carts are an asset.
The pace of the course was slow, but the service and the environment was great
I enjoyed it just wish the pace could have been a bit faster.
A little bit of everything
There's a lot to like about this course. It's not that it is terribly difficult or challenging, but there are several holes that do require you to think about what you want to do, and my playing partner spent quite a bit of time in and around water and sand.
Curiously, I found myself wondering why a good number of bunkers were removed... not that I'm complaining.
fairways good but greens need work, water left on overnight on some greens making pools in the greens along the front nine, green had excessive ball m
members and players should do a better job fixing ball marks.
The course is very clean, and well-kept.
I always enjoy playing at Micky Grove ! It's close to home and it's located in a nice quiet location.. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
The prices are constantly the best in the area and they always seem to beat the prices in nearby counties. The people that play at MC are always friendly and nice to pair up with when it's timely to either keep up play or just to not play alone, of course if that's your desire! LOL
In closing, I've had a great time at Micky Grove and look forward to many more.. Keep up the great work !
Slowest round ever!
I have played Micke grove many times and it can be slow, but this past Saturday was the worst. 5 plus hours after starting a half hour late due to the backup.
Narrow, Short, Slow
61/2 hour round today really tested my patience, but I really do enjoy this course. Its relatively open, but narrow...and is fair to any skill level. Easy to walk, and offers 2 beautiful par 3's (4 and 14)...Play this course all the time, but those afternoon rounds feel like forever.
This course has challenges for all levels of play.
Great course to play - fairways are in good condition. Some of the tee boxes do need some work.
Fun course!
We had a great time at Micke Grove. Would go back and play again and again.
This course is ideal for the mid to low handicapper.
Not only is this course well maintained but offers a challenge to any golfer regardless of skill level. The water hazards are especially challenging.
Great Deal with Golfnow
Course was in not bad shape for the middle of January and considering they had some flooding issues with the rains the first of the month. Play was slow even though the were not very many people out there. Couple of 4somes up in front were clogging up the course. Played the Hot Deal they have around noon every Sat/Sun, but the guy behind the counter seemed to have an issue with that. Got there about 45m early, saw the tee wide open and mentioned that I was ready to go if it was OK. I was informed that I had paid for 11:53 and had to wait until that time with an attitude. Probably will not be back for a while because of that and the other courses available with Hot Deals.
great day!!
the course was in good shape... was great weather!!! there had been a frost delay which bumped everyone back.... when we arrived there were no tee times avail... the staff was able to "squeeze" us in & were super friendly!!!
Great condition for winter
Fairways full, running well. Few bare spots, some muddy areas. Greens smooth and fairly quick. Rough not full, easy play from most rough. Friendly food service staff. On course drink cart. Course must be popular, as we were waiting for the group in front most holes.
great deal but........................................................................................
great deal but the tee off boxes are very uneven and no one seems to fix their ball marks on the greens .......cost me 2 birdies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Value Course
Nothing super special, but everything nice. For the money with golfnow tee times, this course is a great value.
Good course. More bang for the buck!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Course condition is above average.
