Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Nice surprise...
Micke Grove is WORTH the drive. Being a links style course it's wide4 open yet offers the intermediate golfer a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend making a TEE time today!!!
Great value...
....hidden in the Micke Grove I found this course to be fantastic
in superb condition with staff that treats it's patrons as family.
Don't miss an opportunity to play this course. 50 minutes from
Citrus Heights!!
Great value
They have spent over $600,000 this year on redoing bunkers and tee boxes and the course is now in great shape, including the greens. The course has several well placed bunkers and water is in play on 7 holes. Lately running specials for green fees and cart for $20, so course has been busy and pace of play can be slow (the only drawback)
Some of the fairways are under repair and need work, should allow releaf for the dry spots.
Good value for the price, Monday was very crowded.
Nice course. Great value. Had a sixsome 2 groups in front of us which really slowed play. This is the second time this has happened.
I was behind a sixsome for the second tiime.
the first time I called the pro shop.
They sent someone out, but explained to me that they were keeping up with the group in front of them. Rough was too deep.
Nice course, great condition & friendly staff
New staff had done a great job in getting the course in top shape
sloww play
the course is great, but the time it takes to play a round here is way too long. went there during the week around noon and it still took almost 5 hours.
wayyyy tooo long.
One of my favorite courses
Although there are some areas that require a little more attention, overall, the course is in very good condition. The greens are in great shape although a little soft for my taste. The layout is great. A lot of variation on the relatively flat track with several interesting holes where you have to make good shots. I love playing here as it allows a 17.4 index hacker like me to shoot low if I'm swinging the club well on any given day.
Average Public Course
The staff are always freindly and willing to assist any golfer with his needs and concerns to a point. A new player to this course would have trouble navigating his or her way around due to poorly marked pathways. New players constantly loose their way on the course playing holes out of order due to absent hole markings. The course is always under construction due to water leaks impending a playing surface. A course marshall would greatly expidite play time if one would be available. Myself and other fellow golfers have made this request to no avail. The staff could learn a great deal reguarding course management if they visited the Chardonnay Club In Nappa Valley, Ca.
fun
course is fun layout was a little muddy overwatered and greens were really soft but in pretty good shape as whole
Fun layout
This is a fun layout. Lots of variety. Traps have been refurbished.
Better than your average muni. Golf Now makes this course a good value.
The course was in really nice shape
Only problem was pace of play. No marshal to try and speed things up.
An excellent, affordable public course.
It's not quite country club conditions, but for a moderately-priced public course, it is hard to beat. Then I got a GolfNow special and it felt like it was almost free. My only problem is, because I am a short hitter, several holes have traps or water at just my driver distance. Lots of sand around the greens, too. It's a challenging, but fair, course.
Some Things to Like, some things to improve!
This course used to have some of the best greens in the area but on this day they were siginficantly slower than usual. Greens also were a bit sticky on some of the holes as one could not get a true roll on them. At least, the staff has worked hard at removing most of the duck / goose droppings that's been a problem on the course. On the other hand, staff that work on traps do not rake their footprints which becomes a problem if one happens to hit into the print. Good value if you can do the replay. Course needs more diligent work to return to the glory days of years past. C'mon, American Golf, make the investment!!!
Open
Enjoy the golf course when it is in great shape. The couse helps get your score down.
This course has shown major improvement with new management in place. The staff is very friendly always assisting the player with his/her needs. The course has new markings that assist new players navigating their way around. Iam pleased with the results the course has produced with the new management staff to date. Good job guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
