About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Pace of play was poor. Quit after 15 holes which took 5 hours. Need marshals.
Marshalls needed
The weather was a perfect day to play golf, we were off a good start until the golfers start piling up in hole 3. Foursome in front of a twosome were both slow, not sure if there's another slow group in front of them. I'm a slow player but the groups in front of us must be having too much fun...We waited for an average of 5 minutes from hole 3 to 18. We did not see a single Marshall to move the groups along.... our tee time was 12:30 and did not finish until 6:30 --- it was ridiculous. It would have been a great round of golf without the wait.
Hopefully next time would be better.
Not what it used to be
This used to be a real nice course. Conditions are not what they once were. Only yardage markers I saw were plates in the fairway for 100 yards. Bunkers bad, tee boxes fair. Rough spots here and there. Greens are good. Price was right but plenty of better options not that much more expensive. Only having three tee boxes in this day and age is ridiculous. 5286 doesn't sound long but the slope for men is 120-too high in my opinion, but too long for many women. 8 par 4s 300 or longer including 363.
Not too bad for a Sunday afternoon.
It was a great mother’s day treat for moms mostly playing that afternoon with families and For was one of them. Front nine paced out perfectly not until back nine when two groups of golfers slowed us down. Overall it was a good day.
The Greens we're slow
The greens we're slow and had not fully recovered from the airration. The sand traps where in very poor shape and had not been raked by the matenance crew for a while and they were still wet in the afternoon. The tee boxes were very uneven and it seemed that they had not been moved for a few days.
Bad management
No cart up front staff told me go out back and get one. No one out back to be found at cart house so had to just take one with trash in it.
Got to the first tee and three carts took of in front of me with six players. Went to the pro shop and was told to tell them to let you through I said I’m not going to tell them that need to have someone go tell them. He asked if I wanted a rain check after I sent 45 minutes getting there and gas that was a big no. I saw a twosome on the back so I joined them.
Course in very good shape
The fairways and especially the greens are in very good shape, the play was very slow at times, there was a party of 6 in front of us and no marshals in sight, but other than that I would definitely play it again
Nice course design. Great staff. Challenge was there was cut grass all over the course as if the lawn mower bag wasn't emptied.
I love this course!
The greens have been punched and not yet recovered but it still is fun to play. The sand traps could use some work as soon as we have some dry weather. It is about 2 miles from my home so I play it more that any other and love it. If you can drive it straight, you can score well, but if not the water and rough will eat up strokes.
Same old, same old
Love the course, BUT, the upkeep continues to be just plain horrible! The Aeriation work was poor and the greens are in bad shape. The fairways are not much better. Once your ball hits the grass (if there is grass) it's anyone's guess which way the ball will go!
Solid Course
Micke is a fine layout with helpful and friendly staff.
Condition recently has been rough, but last week’s aerification should help.
We were warned Tuesday about lasting impact of sand still on the greens. And the discounted price was right!
Don't frustrate yourself
I come here @ twice a year since it's so cheap. There's a reason why it's cheap. No course management. Twice they punched the greens without notifying golf now. Once there was a tournament and I had to wait 30 min for a cart. Every time there's people jumping holes since it's so slow and nobody's Marshalling. Just don't put yourself through it
Slow play
This is a very nice playable course the only problem is they have too many groups of five which slows the game down tremendously this week after nine holes we quit along with the group in front of us they quit because the group at five in front of them was taken 20 minutes per hole
Good value
A lot of single or double player so they hit from behind almost hits you
