Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Done with second chances
I purposely arrived early to get in practice and hit balls. To my astonishment they had no balls available!! And could only guess when there would be some. There are too many fine courses out there to waste my time here. I won’t be back.
Gonna get better once bermuda starts to grow. Fairways a bit spotty but playable !!
Wonderful layout and wildlife atmosphere but in rough shape
My husband and I love Micke Grove because the layout is interesting and we love all the wildlife and NO HOUSES around! There are bad areas around the course and the sand traps are really waste bunkers (no real sand in them) lots of bare areas in the fairways but the worst is the Ladies Tees! There are no "flat" areas so it's difficult to find a good place to place the tee / ball. They are BADLY in need of leveling!
good city course
nice to be near the train tracts and away from the freeway. The fairways were irregular, but the greens were decent. Enjoyed the round, and it helped a lot that I picked up with a local to help guide me around the somewhat tricky layout.
Rain in the morning.
My tee time was 12:24.
I arrived the golf course around noon but they said course will be closed 1:30 due to lack of business...
No rain check for Golfnow tee time and they gave option either play till 1:30 or ask golfnow refund.
What a day !!!
Played a few holes only for the day.
Be careful, call the course before you leave home make sure they stay open when rain....!!!
Good Course
Good shape for winter time. Good course if you like to use your driver. Difficult par 5 between water. It was a challenge but fun to play.
Always Crowded
Micke Grove is a pretty good golf course for every level and age. The price is very cheap and probably the reason why it is always crowded with golfers. The course itself is very decent 18 hole game. Well, at this time of year expect it to be cold so just need to dress up warm. The only complain I have, I wish there's always a Marshall to direct traffic and control golfers that are not too respectful to other players. Overall, I love playing this course, close to home and price is very reasonable.
Just more of the same old same old
Our foursome had a @ noon tee time. We showed up @ 25 min early and we're surprised the management told us we would be starting on the back 9 and wait for his call up. So, we loaded up our carts and went to the putting green which had no pin cups in so we had to hand pick up our balls after making the putt. Our tee time came and went so my partner went to the pro shop to find out what's up. He "Hoped to get us out soon". So after watching two more groups make the turn we saw an opening and figured that was our slot. We drove up to #10 but didn't hear our call up. We decided to tee off since nobody else was making the turn. As we approached the green on #10 we heard our call up "2nd up on #1 tee" By now it was 30 min after our prepaid scheduled tee time! Anyway, holes 10-18 we're reasonably played in 2 hrs 15 min. Heading to #1 we saw a group of 6 finishing their tee shots. At this point we knew the fun was over. We played holes #1 and #3 twice and called it a day. This is consistent with course management and pace of play with the last 3 times playing here. It's cheap but I won't try again and neither will my compadres.
