Micke Grove Golf Links
About
Located in the Central Valley, Micke Grove Golf Links is surrounded by scenic vineyards. The course is mostly flat and measures to a reasonable 6,565 yards from the back tees, but it is not to be underestimated. There are some tough holes including the par-5 fifth, which requires an accurate tee shot in order to avoid the hazards on both the left and right. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but it is a fairly straightforward layout that is not too intimidating for beginners. The large greens can sometimes be tricky. Eight lakes also come into play throughout the golf course and there are more than 40 bunkers strategically placed along the greens and fairways. The signature hole is the par-3 14th. This 179-yarder calls for a tricky carry over water.

Very good for the price
The course was in a good condition for the price I would recommend to my friends
Worst Course in the Central Valley
Went as a single to the golf course Monday afternoon, 5 staff members at the front desk and, no one seem like they wanted to help. Seems everyone on the staff was chit chatting and not helpful at all. Got on the course and there were 2 groups of 6 players with no marshals to be found. Seems to me that if you have 5 staff members picking their nose during work at the front desk, you can have a marshal monitor the course. I would not ever come play this course again, even if it was a free.
Joe Alvillar sr
The course is in great shape and the pace of play was fantastic today. Greens are great and bunkering was good. Fairways are very good. My compliments to the groundskeeper and the staff.
Pace of play
It almost takes 15 - 20 minutes to play a hole. That' s why my friends do not want to play at Micke Grove specially on weekend. I think they should employ a marshall to speed up the pace of play.
Excellent Community Course
The foursome players that I am one are considered to be "hackers" but have a great time on this course.
We allow players to advance if we are too slow.
Tournament Happened
So I booked my tee time on golfnow & when I got there, there was a high school tournament going on & had to wait for quite some time before I was able to yes off. Why wouldn't block certain tee times so that people wouldn't have to wait. Only got to finish 9 holes. But I do enjoy that golf course though.
Good Value
Love this course. It has some challenging holes, but is fairly easy over all, Played late in the day, and the greens on 16,17,18 were pretty well cratered, but still a good deal for the cost.
Rating
Over all was good. Greens were really bad. Nobody repaired there divots. Never saw greens that were that bad.
Nice course layout
Course is normally pretty busy so pace of play can be slow. After getting by a couple of slow groups, pace of play wasn't bad.
Challenging course
The course is in excellent condition. Water on several holes to try to avoid.
Move along folks, nothing to see here
I play here only when nothing else is available on a Golf Now Hot Deal. The staff is usually ok and was friendly/courteous this time. The cart had empty golf ball sleeves and sandwich baggies and an old receipt in it. The fairways are a little thin and rough around the edges with some weed growth. (Better last time I played here in May) The greens are firm and spotted with ball marks and dead spots. The sand traps we're decent (Not hard packed but not fluffy either) We brought our thermous cups full of ice but there were no water buckets at all. There's only one restroom/toilet other than clubhouse. The track is flat and would be easy to walk. There's enough water/sand to keep things challenging but since no elevation it's overall an average layout. $14 hot deals are common for a reason.
Fun Fun Fun
Played and had a great time. Started with a foursome then picked up a hitchhiker, a solo played, and had a 5th player. This is usually not a great pace but our 5th was better then all of us and a great player. Find out he played in the Asian Tour for a time. The course was in great shape and the day was great.
What Happened?!?!
I played at Micke 1-month ago and the course was in much better condition. But this past Sunday, the course was a mess...tee boxes over-grown with 6 inch high weeds, fairways were sun-dried and dead in places, and the apron around most greens were chewed up.
Then, there was the usual issue of not enough golf carts available or golf balls available to warm up at the range.
It's a shame because it really is a nice track...was.
