Buenaventura Golf Course
About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

Easy walking course
Buenaventura is in excellent shape and the walking is easy - flat layout.
Always great people to meet up with and play.
Great shape
First time back to Buenaventura’s golf course walkingI. I made it. I was so surprised that the fairways where in such good condition as well as the greens. Can’t wait to Covid golf again at Buenaventura.
Great day
The course was in excellent shape. And the pace was great
Reliable, Walkable and Enjoyable
Always enjoyable, fairways and greens in good condition. Flat and not too long so easily walk-able in today's COVID environment.
The course is in good shape. I enjoyed the walk. I would like to play again.
The course is ready to play
The condition of the course reflects the pride of management and staff workers. It was a pleasure to play although with 5 artificial joints I could have enjoyed a cart, hopefully it won’t be too much longer and we will return to normalcy.
Very enjoyable
Great course for the price...wide open for most shots...several challenges with water and bunkers around greens. Played with 2 locals, John and Mike who made me feel welcome...broke 90 (88) which is good for me this early in the year (3rd round since November)
Fun course
Fun course,a little challenging. Came to play as a twosome, got stuck with 2 players. Would rather not. Overall good course to play.
great round
Great job on course...please lets get attention to the sand in the sand traps.
Buena review
Great day after lots of rain course held up
Ourse In Good Shape
Greens in good shape. Pace of play was good. We had a great time.
Great Shape
The course is in great shape right now. The greens are especially good, although they play a bit slow so make adjustments.
Price is great for the conditions and the pace.
Double Dip
Paid for foursome. 1 of my golfers failed to show thought we should play as a threesome. They put somebody with us so therefore they made double the mine on my dime.
Had A Great Time
This is a fun course. Very fair. Several challenging holes. The course was in excellent shape.
Great day
Played here a couple of times while passing through the area. Both times we got a good rate from GN. The staff was wonderful and very helpful in getting us dialed in! Never had to wait, got pair3d up with some very nice local players. All in all it was worth the stop.
Worth the drive
I have been wanting to get out here and to its sister course nearby but since the greens were being punched, I came here and glad I did. Paired with two locals who were able to guide me on the little details you can’t see from the tee. Great for walking, finished in 4 hours, weather was perfect and the conditions were fantastic. It’s nice to see for the most part that players actually repair their ball marks here. The greens rolled medium fast and very smooth. Fairways were in excellent shape as were most of the tee boxes. The bunker I played out of had nice consistent sand. Overall a great day and I would definitely return.
