About
Buenaventura Golf Course originally opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course but closed in 2004 for major renovations. The course's original designer, William Bell, was consulted for the redesign. It was transformed into a more challenging course, but the 1930s design features were carefully preserved. The parkland layout may seem short at just over 6,000 yards but like many of the courses from that era, length is not as important as strategy and course management. The strategically placed bunkers have classic shapes that blend seamlessly into the natural environment as though they were carved by the river. The bunkers combined with the fast, sloping greens make the golf course a shot-maker's paradise. One of Buenaventura's most memorable holes is the par-4 13th. It is one of Bell's original designs, an interesting risk-reward opportunity with water along the right.

AWFULLY WET DUE TO RAIN PAST FEW DAYS....
Soggy in many places due to rain ....but will be in great shape after it dries out.
$4 FOR DOMESTIC BEER IS RIDICULOUS...... ! So compared to other golf courses, ......why?
$6.95 for a hot dog..... with bag of chips....COME ON MAN!!

Fairways in poor condition, for Pete's sake fill the seed/ sand containers to fill divots, or get the the gardener people to do it. Greens need work
Greens were very nice. Play was quite slow
Really need to work on pace of play. It is very slow every time I play at Buenaventura
Cooler when inland is hot
Nice medium difficulty course. A few greens had some bare patches, but fairways were in good shape.
Can be windy and cold. Come prepared.
The course is farily flat. Sand is OK. Some water to make it interesting. Not very long but some holes are challenging.
