About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

Great value links
Okay there’s not to much links around but this one’s pretty fun. Yeah there were some bums, litterally bums around the outskirts of the course. Freaked me out seeing someone living in the bush, but the weather in Oxnard was amazing and made up for it. This is a great course to walk.
Golf review - is ah-ight
Course wasn't bad, greens were cleaned and trimmed. Negative starts on the pro club bathroom. OLIVAS BUY A NEW BATHROOM TRAILER. (yes the bathroom is a modular trailer). It's like 7/11 met Arco, had a kid and abandoned it in the woods. Viola, The Olivas Bathroom, the floor is torn to see the subfloor urinals are stained black but are white, the handle to the sink was broken. Trash it and buy another. Oh yeah, and we had some strong winds on the course, that was actually fun to navigate through.
Excellent condition
Beautiful course. Only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is the lack of clubhouse. The trailers are ok. But a real clubhouse and grill would put it over the top.
Well maintained
Always fun to play here. Well-maintained course. Super friendly staff. Special shout-out to Jason's son and the girl who helped me check in :-)
Slow play
I love this course, but didn’t enjoy the 5 hours and 15 minutes to play
A Facilities Free Experience
The run down trailers that house the rest rooms and the pro shop do not match the golf course itself. The bathrooms in particular are disgraceful. Two of the three stalls were out of use and the sink looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in days.
Beautiful golf course. Pee behind a tree to sore yourself a miserable experience.
First round
Great layout and value. In excellent shape. Could do without some of the homeless folks roaming around on the course.
Amazing course always tons of fun
Only thing I’ve noticed is the fairways are currently being fixed so this would overall usually get a 5 star but the current state is about a 4.5 tbh it’s seen better days but it’s not bad by any means. Amazing course always will play at Olivas.
