Olivas Links Golf Course
About
Situated along the Ventura Harbor overlooking the Santa Clara River, Olivas Links (formerly known as Olivas Park Golf Course) enjoys coastal breezes that make it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, providing perfect conditions for golf year-round. The golf course has a links-style layout that closely follows the natural swales and curves of the landscape and separated by bands of fescue and wild grasses. The course is mostly open but there are some large pine trees scattered throughout. Its seaside location subjects the golf course to strong winds, especially on the front nine. The challenging layout offers multi-tiered greens and contoured mounding along the fairways. There are also deep bunkers strategically placed throughout Olivas Links, but the openness of the course places a stronger emphasis on hitting the right spot on the fairway or getting the correct angle of approach to the green rather than avoiding the bunkers.

The course will be a premium golf experience, once a club house is built.
The course is fun to play, but it can be difficult once the afternoon wind kicks up. The lack of a snack bar and a club house detracts from an othewise outstanding course.
Good Time, Great Course
This course is in GREAT shape. The greens and fairways are carpet like. The tough part is the naturalized areas; hard to find your ball if you hit errant shots. GolfNow provided a great discount for a great course.
Challenging links type course.
Almost a taste of the Monterey Peninsula without the frightening green fees. This course will test players of all abilities and provides a full array of tees to do just that! Olivas Links is certainly a relaxing layout with tricky greens that has just enough links-like design and feel to it to both charm and keep you on your toes, especially should the ocean breezes blow!
Nice course, but poor club house facilities.
Olivas Links is a nice course with close proximity to Ventura, CA and Highway 101. Practice facilities are very good, but the club house and restrooms are in trailers. Good value for the money.
Great Course
Great experience, will definitely come back. Staff in Pro Shop outstanding!!
Great Fairways, Greends have divot marks
The fairways were in great shape. The greens need some attention from all of the divots. The pro shop said they were not going to punch the greens this fall. Interesting. Nice links style course. Good value for the money. I would recommend. Hole number 1 & 9 are the easiest. Double green on 9 & 18 is a nice touch.
good course, back nine better than front
A good value for the money. Rather pedestrian front nine but very interesting back nine. Fairly slow pace of play and no starters at first tee so you have to fight for your spot.
Excellent
This course was great, we had a wonderful day.... we escaped the heat of the LA valley to enjoy the cool coastal breeze and a wonderful day on a wonderful course..... All made possible through a wonderful site called golfnow.com. We even enjoyed the Adirondack chairs at all the Par 3 holes. We even enjoyed taking a pic of our group in the chairs on one of the holes. we were not waiting to tee off, we were not hit up on or pushed by a group behind us. it was if we were the only ones on the course, dont know if this is the norm over there but our experience was Fantastic. Would I recommend this course to friends? (already have)... Will I go back? (Cant wait).. thanks again and a big shout out to Olivas links and Golf Now ....
Super Fun and Fair
Plays at a good pace, great value, great condition, greens really fun and challenging.
Good course, slow play.
Consistently slow play. I have played several times and have even walked off due to slow play.
However, great course and in good condition with challenging and interesting holes.
Starter,,,,
We first started out with the starter skipping us for other people because the starter was not calling out the foursome. The other problem was the round was entirely too slow. 3rd I emailed my complaints and a Gen Mgr responded with a call and he promised a 20 or 30% discount on return but I never heard from him and we would like to go back.
