Great Course
I really like this course and free range balls makes an even better value. Course in overall at B condition.
had a great time
the tee shots had hazards just before or just after my drives. if you hit 280 from the white tees, this course fits very well. fun and challenging course.
Nice Course!
This was the second time this season I played at Lake Chesdin. The course was in very good shape. Due to recent rains, the range was closed. Normally, you have access to their range with plenty of balls included in the price to play. The practice green and chipping area were good to warm up on before playing.
The fairways were in very good shape and the greens ran true. The course has a nice layout and is quite a challenge with a number of the holes elevated and/or long. You'll enjoy playing here. The staff treats you well.
Staff was accommodating, course was challenging, finished in 2:40!!
Great time and value for the price paid, tricky layout for first timers
Beautiful course, beautiful views and layout. It is very tricky for first timers, Bc there are many blind trouble areas you cannot see from the tee! So be careful when choosing driver on the front 9 nine if you are a bomber. Range balls are included with your fees. They had bottled water on each side for you. It was a great course and I plan to play again!! This time I may not make as many pars but I won’t make 5 doubles either!!
Fun round
The front was much easier than the back but the whole course was fun and challenging
Course in very nice shape
2nd group off, no problem, excellent pace of play, course in nice shape. Enjoyed.
Bring bug spray!
I've lived in this area most of my whole life and today was the first time I played here. What a fun and beautiful course. Not so long that you need driver on all par 4s but not so difficult that an errant shot is punishable by double pars. Bring bug spray though because some fairways are littered with stinging flies. Unfortunately, due to COVID, the restaurant was not open and the pro shop has a limited selection. This course does allow you to bring food and non alcoholic drinks in your own cooler so that was a huge plus. The staff couldn't be friendlier and the pace was great. Played 36 holes today and will definitely go back.
The Summer is Brutal
This course is fantastic, but if you are playing in the summer months books a afternoon tee time, and prepare to battle "may flies". Those bugs make putting a impossibility.
Great track!!
I like this course. I have played it twice now. Fantastic layout. Very nice and fast greens. Course was a good condition. There we a few tees that were closed because they had been sodded - love seeing that they are trying to keep it nice. Only downside was the range was closed because it was too wet. Also the bunkers need attention. Looking forward to playing it again!!
Great value for the money
I have played all the public courses around Richmond and this course is definitely the best in the price range. Course was in excellent condition, layout is great and the course is beautiful.
Definitely would recommend playing there.
