Great Thursday Golf
First time playing this course. Pro shop staff was efficient and pleasant. Very communicative about start times and pairings. I was in a twosome and we were behind a foursome. I was worried but those old guys really moved and pace was 3:45 for 18 holes. Course had some bare spots but was in pretty good shape. Biggest con is that it is so far away. Not worth a weekend round but midweek golf here is perfect.

Starts tight then opens up
Played this course twice in early spring and this weekend. As with most courses in central Va, the fairways are thin with plenty of hard pan to hit from. Greens are in pretty good condition.
It’s a enjoyable course! Starts off tight requiring hybrid as the club of choice. Course then loosen up to let driver rip!
Greens - Down hill putts run super fast and up hill putts require a little effort.
Nice little clubhouse bar. Try calling for food on hole 8 - NO answer. Bar busy. Waited a bit on the turn.
There was a cart girl💯

Fuel levels in carts.
Our only complaint...we had not 1, but 2 carts run our of gas on the front nine. We were able to get the 2d cart pushed up the last few feet up the cart path after 9 and up near the driving range before getting to a level lie and back to the clubhouse for a cart with more fuel.

Open Your Range
Like the course, but last two times I've been there the range has been closed. No warm up makes for a challenging round.

Love the course
Only issue was waiting for lunch. Made the call on 8 and still had to wait too long for a dog and fries. Staff was awesome and could have been some other things at play unbeknownst to me.

Played early so the greens were damp but they were also fertilized so things got green and messy real quick. But the course was in great shape for mid spring.

Very scenic
Booked this last minute as I was passing through. Price very reasonable. Course layout was very easy to follow which was great since I tend to get lost on courses I’ve never played. Tees were well placed for different abilities. LOTS OF HIDDEN WATER! Only negative—pace of play was very slow. I skipped a couple of holes. Overall a very nice round!
