This course is in terrible shape!
It's been some time since we last played Silverstone and we were very disappointed to say the least. My friend lives on the course and we used to play there weekly. "Par 4" has since taken over the course and we're not impressed with how they've managed it. Staff are unprofessional , the fairways and tee boxes have little to no plyable grass. Most of the course is in "under repair" conditions. Pace of play was quite slow as they routinely put out singles or doubles back to back on the course. The best part was learing of the automatic "GPS surcharge" that was added to the round. We"ve never had to pay for this and the course has ALWAYS had GPS on the carts. In fact, the GPS system used to be much better than it is now. Granted, the fee was only $1, but to have it "automitcally" added??? Talk about "nickle and diming" paying players. I will never play this course again and will certainly not recommend it to anyone. I'm disappointed in the course and am growing more and more disappointed with GOLFNOW!
Course has a great mix of holes.
The course was being worked on by maintenance but I believe that was due to recent rain activity. I have played here before and the course condition was less than expected. Pretty sure that is a temporary situation. Overall though enjoyed the round and would recommend to friends.
Challenging
The fairways are fairly narrow and it is sometimes a long way from the T box to the fairway. The greens had just been punched so can't tell how they might be.
Decidedly average to above average
Silverstone is a solid golf course.
The staff, with one exception, could not have been nicer, friendlier, or more professional.
The course itself was in fair condition. The tee boxes were a bit ratty, and the fairways were either cut too long or were patchy in areas, and sometimes both. The greens rolled relatively true, though we're at times somewhat bumpy. The greens were relatively accepting to mid-iron shots with average spin and were slightly slower than average.
Overall, for the money we paid for the round, it was a good value, and I would play it again, but would not pay more than $50 to play here.
Note: for visitors to the strip (which my group was) you'll need a rental car to make the trip to this course. It's a 20 minute drive or so, but is an easy drive to make.
Bad Workers
The course was closed down and they were still selling tee times on Golfnow.
When I went into the pro shop the manager said the course was closed and told me to call golfnow. He should have callled golfnow himself and cancelled the tee times for that day. Then i wouldn't have driven all the way up there. Plus I missed out on other courses I could have played. I'll never go back. They don't care about you there. Customers are an inconvenience for them. They can have their wish of no more customers as far as I'm concerned.
its ok
Silverstone golf ,I have been playing over 7 yrs.its has been very interesting course of its own. pretty much maintained well.reasonable price for the for the reasonable course. but when it come to stater it has been tip hussale
Very well maintained and challenging course.
Nice facilities. Beautiful club house. Course is in great condition even now in the extreme heat of summer. Very challenging layout for short hitters as lots of wilderness between tees and fairways. Staff was very friendly and cordial.
Nice layout, well maintained
Enjoyed the round, people front and behind seem to ensure their pace of play. Conditions were excellent, greens get hard and I'm still having trouble reading the greens.
This course was in fantastic from hole 1 to hole 18. It makes you hit your drive down the ball consistently well.
This is the best course I have ever played on or probably ever will play on. I would recommend it to anyone in an instant. I am already counting the days that I am back in Vegas so I can play it again.
The course has a nice layout.
Love the course. wish they had more tee time deals.
Three good nine hole courses, pretty well maintained, and fun to play.
Three good courses that are reasonably difficult. One has the longest par 5 in Nevada. Staff is friendly. The course also runs numerous special rates, in addition to those that appear on golf now. Get on their email list for these special deals.
fantastic track ,great value ,complete package
27 holes of different styles of golf .greens are very good and roll smoothly ,fairways and all cosmetics on course are well maintained, some bunkers need work but I wasn't in any, course has a nice mix of easy to very challenging holes, par 5s are long and tuff ( mountain #9 ) ,staff was very nice ,and facility is beautiful , great course to play
Great Course
Course was great had great scenic views definitely would go again and again...
SILVERSTONE GOLF COURSE
This is my favorite course because it is only minutes from my house, it is affordable, it has 27 interesting holes and the staff is great.
Good course and good value
I played all 27 holes and found it to be a real great course. Could be better maintained but in the summer I don't expect anything great. Round comes with range balls, GPS, and bottled water. I was very happy with the experience I had there.
Awesome course and staff
From tee to green, conditions are in great shape. Greens are a little slow but rolling smooth. Staff were great, food in the clubhouse was so so..... Salad greens had browning on some of them and the mash potatoe did not taste like it was made from real potatoes. Cart girl came by very frequent so a plus there. Overall a great experience compared o other courses I've played in Vegas.
Great course, great staff, great value
The Course was in great shape and we had a great day.
Good Golfnow deal
Course is in overall good condition with the greens being in good condition. Fairways were in need of attention but looked like they were being worked on. Staff was average and available.
Excellent Course
Will definitely be back here on my next rip to Vegas.
good practice facility
Enjoyed the course layout. Greens weren't too fast. The greens had problems of different strains of grass dotting the surface. Bunkers needed power raking. Fairways were well maintained.
