Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Players Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Golfer Reviews
Re Do - nice
First time playing since the course was updated
Was in great shape. Greens rolled fast and true
Bunkers were great
Pace of play was very good - 3:40
$30 hot deal
Didn’t have any real interaction with staff so the reason for 3 rating
A course for all players
Schaumburg Golf Course is one that is suitable for all layers, from scratch to 36, and for all ages, from 7 to 77. Unfortunately, sometimes that pace of play becomes laggard, but apart from slow play, the course was in good condition, the greens were smooth, and the bunkers were in excellent shape. I would recommend this course for all golfers.
Liked it
The arrangement of the holes was different. They were numbered through hole #10- #27 and two 9 hole courses. However we enjoyed it and would play again. It was in good condition and there were really no big surprises.
Wednesday golf
I think me rating said it all. Love to play here!!
Fire
Fire redesign. Fire crew that actually enforces pace of play. If Tom the ranger is on the track you better be up to speed.
Appreciate this course caring about pace of play and the new 9 is incredible.
We greatly appreciate your feedback, thank you for playing!
Golf Now GPS
I couldn't confirm Player GPS on Golf Now GPS, course select is Bear/Players.
We love 5 star ratings!! Thank you for your business.
Thank you for the great rating, we hope to see you real soon.
Schaumburg GC review
course in good shape, greens slow, very slow play first nine...no ranger moving play..
Thank you for playing Schaumburg Golf Club please contact Jon Parsons regarding your day,
Thank you for your 5 star review, we look forward to hosting your group again.
SGC Tournament 9
Course in decent shape after being redone recently, greens a bit too soft and easily damaged by spikes and any shot from the air. Like the changes to several holes, plays a bit easier in some respects. Synthetic sand in bunkers is really novel and extremely playable, don’t count on allot of bounce, give it some extra pop. Clubhouse always stellar.
Nuce Course
Nice course , only problem was they were redoing the one course. But I would highly recommend this course. Can't wait to come back when the new course is open.Loved the white sand. Nice layout.
Thank you for your feedback, we look forward to seeing you again.
Convenient Location
Nice course in a convenient location. A lot of construction work going on as they redo 9 holes so it was a little noisy. Would go back again if the price is right.
Thank you for playing Schaumburg Golf Club. The construction you heard is around the back putting green, it will be done today. Hope to see you soon.
Thank you for the four star review, we appreciate your business.
Not up to snuff
I have played this course many times.I even worked with the cart staff for 18 months. So I know the course conditions are not what they should be.The course has three nines, one of which is shut down. One is in good shape. And one is a partial combination of two nines. Two holes on one nine were cart path only only.Greens were much slower than average.Green fees are on the high side for non-residents.I would stay away until all the construction is completed.
