Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Players Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Great golf staff & fantastic course
Each staff member was friendly and helpful. It makes a fun day golfing even better when you’re treated well.
I love this golf course. It is challenging and fair. I was in two sand bunkers today but was able to make clean shots because they are built well (soft sand; not hard, inconsistent or wet). I also like that they have a 9 hole and 18 hole option to encourage you to play even if you only have a couple of hours. 9 hole score:40
Disappointed with the greens
I have always liked this course, but for some reason on this day, the greens were in the worst condition I have ever seen. There were unrepaired ball marks everywhere. It was hard to roll a putt without it bouncing, many times off line. The greens were in need of repair as well as being cut and rolled. The rest of the course was in great shape.
Four K12 Business Friends
The day was perfect and the course is well cared. There was an outing and they still accommodated us. Food is very good. Perfect for 9 holes.
COUNTRY CLUB CALIBER
This course is in immaculate condition for being a park district course. It's certainly the caliber of a private country club. One thing I would say though, the directions to tees and fairway distance to the green markers were non existent. Could come in handy if they were installed. For a Golfnow hot deal walking, the $28 for 9 holes is quite high. If you add a cart, it would have been well over $40. A bit much!
Such great value and of play
I’ve never played in the afternoon but the 2x I’ve played here in the morning, this pace is nice and quick and the course conditions are fantastic. Amazing value.
Great Condition
Have played a few times a years since it opened and it is always in great condition
We played in a little over 4 hours ( 7:20 tee time 4 some)
We would have played in 3 1/2 hours or less but the group in front of us struggled. They teed off at 7:10 and we couldn’t hit our tee shots until 7:26! The starter had to send the ranger out before they got to the green . They ran between shots all day
Bunkers were great. Greens rolled true and at a good pace
I play about 30 different courses a year and they are top 5 in condition
Give it a try you won’t be disappointed
Not worth the price
Almost $90 for 9 holes of doing nothing but course maintenance with my Divot tool. Greens were cratered like the moon. Will not be coming back.
