Really good course conditions considering the weather

Fun course and varied holes

Arrived to Course to find out only 1-7, 17 & 18 were open due to the rain. Fair enough. My issue is that we paid £50 per ball and were not once offered any money off the booking.

We were playing in a two ball behind a 4-ball of older gentleman. We gave them a lot of space before we T'd off, they were walking to the 2nd green when we got to the 2nd T box. Again we took our time teeing off. By the time we finished the 2nd their final ball had not even hit his T shot on the 3rd. We walked up to them them saying morning and frankly expecting to be offered to play through... Nothing, they just walked off, we stuck behind them the whole front 9. I just cant understand why 4 very average golfers in their 70s wouldn't let a two ball comprised of two young lads in their 30s play through?..?

Its lucky we scored well and weren't court in the rain otherwise it really would have been a complete waste of money. I would appreciate some kind of financial compensation (mainly for the fact half the course was closed and we payed full price) from either Ashley Wood or Golf Now. Is that possible please?

Great course. Enjoyed the Front 9 a lot. Solid challenge. Back 9 was a bit boring considering it was all Par 4's except the 18th Par 3 coming back to the club house.

Staff was Nice

Pace of Play was great. Was a single with 2, 2balls ahead of me flying around

Excellent as always , greens good , tricky with the wind in the sloping fairways !!

Played for the first time and would definitely go again. Really well kept course and a good mix of challenging holes and more open holes that are slightly more forgiving!

A good value course. Very well maintained and challenging in different ways - sloping lies, trees and out of bands in places - with some simpler flat parkland holes

Great course and the greens were the best I've played out of about 8 others this year. In my top 3 favourite courses, very scenic and more challenging front 9 and a more straightforward back 9. Definitely recommend.

Always helps if you play well , but the condition of this course was excellent considering the weather we’ve had lately, greens were fantastic, very enjoyable, best weather of the year so far, can’t moan at all .

A spur of the moment phone call and I was on the course in 5 minutes. The pro shop was incredibly friendly and proactive. Amazing views across the surrounding area. Greens in great condition for winter and fairways were a treat to play on. The rolling hills give’s you something to think about. Great value for money. I might even go back tomorrow!!

Great course , good condition! but 4:30 hrs for around ! it’s a long day ! Also awfully exposed so if it’s cold wrap up !’

Fantastic course, considering how much rain the area has had, the course had drained really well and in great condition

Played 2nd of Jan following a night of heavy rain. The course was in great condition considering the poor weather. Great layout which keeps you thinking and decent pace of play over all.

Only small issue was some of the greens were a little weathered, mostly due to lack of pitch mark repair rather than anything else, minor point though, over all in brilliant condition. Highly recommend this course in winter especially but also played in summer and was equally impressed. Well priced as well.
