Your going to need more balls

First time we have played Baildon. Friendly club, lovely clubhouse, staff and challenging course.

Fairways and greens all in good condition.

Can’t wait to come back and have another crack at it.

Incorrect slope?

We chose a windy day to play at Baildon.

Despite the relatively short course, the wind protects it .

Greens were pretty good, fairways average.

Better signposting would assist a newcomer.

We were literally “blown away” with the fabulous views all around the course.

Would play it again……when the wind drops!

A slope of about 125 would have been more appropriate.

Great little challenge with amazing views

Highly reccomend this course, kept stopping to take pictures of the scenery around! Some great holes with a few high tee box to low greens which I always enjoy particularly the short par 3 at the start.

I turned up around 5ish when the pro shop was seemingly closed so bar guy just told me to go out, couldn't get a pull trolley but was happy carrying.

Few of greens were a bit suspect and pace wasn't consistent but nothing too bad, general course a lot of fun. All fairways are lined by thick links like rough so accuracy is important, I lost quite a few balls to start but whilst searching found more so ended up +1 on golf balls after 4 holes!

Baildon g c.

Wild and wonderful course. Very unforgiving, stray off the fairways at your peril. Course layout markers could be inproved. The greens were inconsistent and a little woolly. For the price bracket this course falls into it ticks all the boxes. Very enjoyable course though very strenuous and taxing.

Wow! Cant go wrong

What a treat this was on a beautiful day.

Lots of elevated tee boxes which I enjoy, fairways were in decent condition, greens were simple but good and true.

Very hilly, so be ready for a hike, but the views make it all worth it.

It’s not as polished as a course you’d pay 3x the price for of course, but it was in great knick.

For £15 you really can’t go wrong, I’d happily expect to pay double that.

Do note: rough is very thick moorland heather and the wind can cause some trouble, so take plenty of balls! That being said, I still posted my joint best ever score thanks to some lovely par 3’s, great greens, and not stupidly long par 4 or 5s.

Course in great condition, greens very good. Great value for money. Can’t beat it if you get good weather but guess it would be hard going if it was wet and windy.

Perfect Course in the Sun

Had a three ball up at Baildon and enjoyed the conditions. The course provides different challenges and its essential you hit the fairway because the rough swallows balls.
