Excellent value for money.
Great course in very good condition, greens were still quick to say we had 2 days of rain, will definitely play there again,
Friendly game of golf.
Friendly game of golf on a beautiful well manicured golf course, greens run true and pure. The lady in the pro shop was very helpful and for a visitor I did feel very welcome.
Immaculate
Played Shipley many times over the years and can't think I've seen it in better condition. Considering the vagaries of the weather this year it was in excellent condition rivalling the quality courses of N Leeds. The greens had just been ironed and the putts rolled out beautifully without a wobble. A thoroughly enjoyable morning.

Shame
Played here 27/04/25.
course has a great layout and the 6 par 3s/4 & 5 dont play as long as they may seem on the card. A good drive and a mid iron was achievable on the par 5s.
Unfortunately there is a issue on 17 of the 18 greens. i am not green keeper or ever claim to know anything about them, but at £75 a round coming into May the greens are in poor state. Which is a real shame tees and fairways are in very good condition.
My advice would be to play later in the day get a cheaper rate, and hopefully the greens will improve over the remaindered of the year.

Perfect course on a perfect day for golf
Absolute pleasure to play the course, well laid out and some magnificent holes, think it helped playing early as the morning mist gave it an extra special feel. Loved it. If I had to pick at anything a few of the greens has some small bare spots but that wouldn’t put me off coming back.
Shame about the greens
Great course but sadly looked like there was some disease on the greens so quite a few bold patches and bobbly greens rest of the course was immaculate hopefully they can get the greens back to 100% because I would like to play the course again
Autumn golf 30/10
Great layout of course, first time playing it and to be expected in October…greens were very bumpy in places but held up fairly well for the time of year. The highlight of the course is the stretch of holes between 5-8, beautiful corner of the property with some great holes. Par 3’s were nearly all feature style holes. I can imagine in peak season this is a real gem of a course. Bookended by two fairly plain holes in 1&18 but a good fair test of golf! Pace of play was awful as a single and I only just made it in before dark due to 2 leisurely 4 balls ahead. Enjoyed the course and will definitely return!
Pity about the delay
Despite being told by the Pro that we shouldn’t have any hold up (teeing off at 4.40) during the first 10 holes we were asked to stand aside for players involved in a team competition. In total we were waiting for the two balls to come through for circa 40 minutes.
If we had known this was scheduled, we would not have booked that time to play. Frustrating however we all liked the course.
I suggest that tee times just before club competitions can’t are not available through Golfnow
Lovely settings, great golf
A really interesting and well maintained course. I managed to get on for under £30 which was exceptional value.
Not told important information
We have always enjoyed playing this course and go back every year to play even though it’s a 1.5 hour drive. We turned up today sighneg and started playing the course was in great condition as always , we tee off on the 6th and half way down the hole we were shouted by members that the hole and the 5th hole were closed . So we had to turn around and walk all the way back to the 7th .also the 8th hole was closed.we feel a bit angry as we were not told by golf now or worst of all the pro in the shop . Are day was spoiled by this as I have always congratulated this club on great service.
They closed course
It was closed with all the rain at least they had the decency to ring and let me know but could have done it earlier as got call as I was 5 mins away was so looking forward to it too
Great course
Although it did not stop raining until the 15th hole we had a good day . Course even though it was torrential rain was in great condition although some greens were only just playable.great views and well worth the £30 pound hot deal. I do think they are overpriced at £70 . But we’ll done green keepers on the condition of your course .

Fantastic course. Challenging and very scenic. Friendly members and staff. Can’t wait to return.
