Great course for the price
Good practice facilities with 2 putting greens plus a green for chipping and pitching from a good distance.
The course conditions were great, only let downs would be the bunkers which could do with 20% more sand and the greens which could of done with a slight trimming. Was a slow day following a society around but really enjoyed the course and it had a lot of interesting holes but not one I would mark down as being super memorable. Staff were friendly and would definitely return, only big turn off was the road you need to cross otherwise a great course and a great day out.
An oasis of calm next to the mad mile!
A fantastic venue in remarkable condition, given that it hasn't rained since about February! From the practice area to the final green, the course was in great condition and provided a great test of golf for the four of us. I have played over a dozen different courses this year and Banstead Downs is up there with the best of them.. a really enjoyable round of golf with friends, capped off with a refreshing pint in the bar after. Highly recommended!
Would recommend
Enjoyed this one although not seen at best due to dry weather/burnt fairways, the tees and greens were in great shape and the layout is really nice with some pretty features
Played as a one ball with nobody in front so cant comment on pace of play, also smashed it (2 eagles) so perhaps reviewing with rose tinted glasses on.
Nice course in decent condition
Decent layout with some challenging holes. Despite the lack of rain the course was in very good condition. The fairways were dry but the greens and approaches were excellent.
Nice course
A nicely laid out course, but as with most, has suffered on the fairways from the extremely dry conditions we have had. Balls would bounce off contours more than they would have if the fairways were green rather than parched and so more balls were lost in the side rough than would normally be expected. That said it is a nicely laid out course with mature trees lining each hole, so very pleasant surroundings. will be better in future after it has had some rainfall to turn the fairways back to green.
The greens though were excellent, having been hydrated.
Lovely Location
Located in Banstead Woods, downside dog walkers everywhere, plus great set up, great condition and great views
Great Green, Friendly Staff
Course was challenging but fun to play, the greens was perfect. nice shop well stocked & all the staff and players was friendly.. great day & highly recommended..
Enjoyable round but …..
Enjoyed the round and made very welcome. The course is very flat and there os no water to negotiate. Easy walking and in good condition.. it’s a bit bland and featureless - up one way then down the next. Greens very good. A dog friendLy course - we had our black labs on leads attached to our trolleys and they both enjoyed the walk.
Unknown to us 10 out of the 18 greens were being repaired and temporary greens were put in place, which ruined our game, I wish we knew
Course in very good condition
The course was in very good condition given recent weather. The course itself was a bit repetitive with few memorable holes. Enjoyed it nevertheless
Good course, Disappointing slow 4 ball in front who did not offer to let faster 2 balls through
