Social Friday

As our course was closed due to a charity day we decided to book the Derby course at the Belfry, £27 which isn’t to bad, after the first 3 holes the course got better, you can tell that the other 2 course take priority,

Good afternoon of golf,

It wasn’t till we went from a drink after the game I realised how expensive it is at the Golf, Also service charges put on the bill without being asked 3 pints of Stella cost me £22.44wow ,

My son booked this as Xmas gift for me.What can I say but absolutely blown away by the place.Played the Derby course and as high handicappers suited us brilliantly. For how much rain we’ve had lately the course was really good .Staff so helpful.Got to get handicap down now for the PGA course

waterlogged

i really like the Derby course and have played it 10-15 times but the course condition at the moment is dreadful. its completely waterlogged to the point balls landing in the fairways are plugged to the point you can't find them. the pond on 17 was soo over full its spread 15m into the fairway and the bunkers around the greens are completely full of water .

99% of courses would be closed in the current condition.

Waterlogged

Any other course with that much water on it would be shut….. I really like the Derby course but it’s unplayable at the moment. Balls hitting the centre of the fairway and disappearing as there’s soo much water . Bunkers full to the brim with water .

Frozen but still great fun

Today we played Th Derby course at The Belfry. Great fun had by all especially the infamous sausage rolls at the halfway house.

Course was is great condition for end of November. Sadly the greens were slightly frozen due to a hard frost but that didn’t dampen the fun we had on our round. Looking forward to playing there again in the not to too distant future.

A great experience

The course was a bit wet due to the storm but we were lucky to have a dry day and the whole experience was wonderful and once again the Belfry delivered to our expectations.

Congested and tight

Would not recommend this course. It was very congested, too many people on the course. Up to three groups waiting on some tees. The course is too tight and with so many people in it, it is bordering on dangerous. In 10 mins we were nearly hit 4 times.

The belfry is packed in general i would avoid it, there are plenty of great courses in the UK

Great Layout

Great course first time I've played it was nice to get a lift to the first tee, and the driver to tell us about the course etc. Pace of play was slow so this was the only down side, but really good course, great layout and was designed well, will be coming back with our society.

Once again

4 balls slowing the day

Going sideways and backwards in buggies slowing down the pace

Wouldn’t let us threw

2 ball taking 5 hours is not a good day
