Poor dangerous course

First time ever playing this course and won't be playing it again. We turned up there was no one about so didn't no where scorecards where or toilets or even the first tee. The signage was very poor as couldn't tell where we where going.thers a lot of blind shots and a lot of holes that cross. We was booked in for 18 and found the course that bad we walked of after 8 holes. We payed £27 each and to say it's a rip of is an understatement. Defiantly wouldn't recommend and won't be going back on a busy day I would say it's dangerous to play because of the over laps and blind shots.

It is quirky course with interesting features

Unfortunately the ground staff had just hollow tuned the greens which spoilt the game.

Challenging 9 hole course.

Played several times over winter, hilly , lots of blind shots, course generally in good condition, the views are outstanding

The facilities are limited is the kindest way of saying there isn’t any. The club has its limits with a low membership and therefore lack of funds.

It is a very physically challenging course but well worth the modest green fee.

Nice little course

Interesting course and one I enjoy playing when I come to Ben Ryding, but not surprisingly FF or December, it was quite muddy and greens were not in great condition.

I look forward to coming back in the summer.

The course is hilly and challenging

Hilly course with multiple overlaps of holes and chaotic without a map. Score card did not have a map unfortunately.

Hidden gem

Played here a couple of years ago and fancied coming back with a friend to play here for a change to our regular one. Didn't know what to expect but what pleasantly surprised at how good quality it had been kept in. The greens and fairways were great. It was quiet which I liked becuase I didn't feel pressured. You are hitting over other fairway holes which could be an issue having to keep an eye out all time but for us it was steady away. Will definitely keep coming back when I need a change.

Would be a nice local for anyone that lives nearby.

Quirky course

I really loved playing this very interesting course. It’s challenging but so much fun. There’s some very interesting blind holes to play.

The course was good and challenging, would recommend to the more well experienced players though, also the course could use more clear signage.

More of a maze than a golf course!

Was extremely disappointed with this golf course, the layout is the worst I have ever played on. No flow, and several holes were extremely difficult to locate the tees and even the pins. No staff either, so no score cards/course maps were provided. No amenities either. Some holes you play twice from different tees (same pin), and you couldn’t see if anyone else was playing at the same time (holes 1 and 10), we bumped into another group in the middle of the fairway.

Course was kept in good condition

The course was in good condition and kept well, it was our first time playing the course and wouldn’t be in a rush to go back due to the layout There was no signs telling you which way the next hole is and a hole layout on each hole. So was hard to know where to go.

Confusing layout. Great views

Second time playing 18 holes with one of the hot deals at £13.99.

Course layout is confusing. Could do with a map on the back of the score cards and better signage.

We did have member on our second visit come to tell us that we shouldn’t be playing the far green on the first and they are getting annoyed at non members using it. No signs I could see to say otherwise and the green keeper didn’t seem to be bothered when out cutting the grass.

Not the friendliest interaction.

Overall would definitely be back. Challenging little course with great greens. The views are amazing, looking forward to getting back when’s it’s dry and the sun makes an appearance.
