Birstall Golf Club

Course is in really good condition and amazingly green despite all the dry weather. Some interesting holes and layout too. Shame about the pro shop member of staff who both times has been rude and unwelcoming.

Really enjoyed the course, greenstafff very nice BUT HONESTLY a little more friendliness from the pro shop would have been good

We arrived before our alloted tee time to some miserable man who hardly come even manage a welcome, he never explained the course rules or even where the first tee was and wasn’t very friendly at all

We play at a local course and this is the problem with golf, locally we had come to play had paid £30 per person

to be introduced to Birstall by the ignorant man at the pro shop is why golf clubs will struggle,, we never stayed for a drink or food due to this and it’s a shame as the course was really well kept and a nice challenge,

In future would look elsewhere which is a shame xxxxxx

Its an ok course. If you keep straight you will score well.

If not the trees will punish you. The greens were in excellent condition for the time of year. We played off mats but lots of maintenance going on on the tees and fairways and tree cutting which makes me think its a looked after course. I think it might be too expensive for me in the summer but I would certainly play again at winter rates.

If winter weather conditions were as you would expect for January then the ground would be frozen hard. However….weather is warmer these days due to global warming. So unfortunately the course was soft and extremely muddy, so much so that my front wheel on my trolley couldn’t go round freely. Some courses don’t drain as well as others and maybe if I play here again then I will use a carry bag and wear wellingtons.

Greens in excellent condition, fairways good too.

Course was not over busy so got t round easily.

Would play again in the near future.

Beautiful course, with the sound of the steam train in the background. Immaculate condition, love to play there again.

A lovely track. Greens were fabulous and Course was in lovely condition.

Welcomed in the shop and given a sense of pace and current rules. All very helpful.

After the round, had a few beers and a very nice sandwich - staff were top drawer.

First time on this course. Ample parking and good pro shop. Staff very friendly and helpful. On the course good layout, fairways in good condition and greens excellent.

Regardless of the recent dry spell the course was in lovely condition. Well watered greens in really good order. Lush tees and fairways. Well done to green keepers. Good test of golf-recommended.
