The layout was very nice, unfortunately the course was very wet. Would only recommend playing in the summer

Some good holes with cracking views particularly the 10th a true par 5 which requires a straight long drive. Greens were excellent but could of done with an oxygen tank for the front 9. Extremely hilly

Blackburn In The Wet

Obviously very early in the season but we have played Blackburn a few times and never seen it as wet as today. Given the fact we have had 5 days or pretty good weather for this time of the year we were really surprised how wet it was underfoot..Didn't spoil our fun too much though.

Very wet

Played other courses around the area and none of them hold as much water as Blackburn GC. New professional just joined so very little stock in shop but I'm sure that will change soon, he was very friendly. A couple off the tees were quite difficult to find also. Overall it was good to be out playing although wasn't a true reflection of the game as so many greens were pretty unplayable and the fairways had been spiked (to get rid of the water I would imagine)

Good value winter golf

The ground was still a bit frozen from the previous cold night. In some places the ground was very soft indeed. Winter rules in operation, but all the green open, and some tee beds in use. Very few people out so got round in double-quick time.
